She can't help looking at him. Who asked him to be so handsome?? Moreover his eyes always look mysterious which kind of intrigued Amy.

Ryan saw that his wife is being awestrucked by him. He had an urge to tease and laugh but controlled it.

It already took some time to calm her down. He doesn't want the volcano to erupt again.

With great difficulty, Amy break her eyes free from his face.

”You lied to me” Her voice had a tone of complaint.

”I didn't”. Amy wanted to resort against the comment but Ryan continued.

”Yes...I planned everything but I didn't lie to you. If you think that you don't deserve your job then that means you don't know yourself well. Though I asked Rachel to help, you secured your position with her through your hard work. The same goes here. If you really didn't have the talent then I would never choose you for this position.”

Hearing the clarity in his voice, Amy didn't doubt him.

”Ryan... it's not about that. You yourself said that I have talent. Then why didn't you allow me to work somewhere else.”

”You can definitely work at other places, but you're my wife. Once media gets it, your life will be terrible. Moreover, if by chance you got a job at other entertainment companies, when they hear the truth they'll definitely slander you as a spy. It'll also affect Dark Horse. I'm sorry I did this, but I have no other choice.”

Though his reasoning sounded clear, Amy didn't believe him.

”Are you telling me that is the reason, why you did this?”

Ryan hesitated. It seems that he has no other choice.

”I'm worried...worried about you. Imagining you working at some other place...how they'll treat you..all these thoughts haunt me. Also..Charles is leaving. It's been only one year since I have taken up this position. I don't know who to trust and not. Having you by my side will be a great strength to me.”

Ryan said in a calm voice but his heart is in choas. He didn't know how to convince her if she didn't believe him.
