“Oh, hey TheoYou’re early today”

“Morning Theo”

Some of the students they passed on their way to class called out greetings to TheoThey were all first years students enrolled in the same classes as him

“HeySee you later”

Theo responded to each person and quickly walked on

Lynn tried his best not to stand out, and left some distance between hi one wholethe Academy, he still didn’t have any other real friends other than Theo

In his hoe, and so he never had to navigate any kind of social systeeThis was another aspect of life inside the Tower that was entirely new to hi plans to speak of in their classes, so students were free to sit hoever they wishedNaturally, the students soon settled into a relatively unchanging pattern as they chose to sit with their friends

Groups often formed between those of the sa

Lynn was disappointedWhen he had seen the great nuathered in the assembly hall for the entrance ceremony, he had expected to make friends with most of them

He found no one else like himself, in any of his classesThat is to say that he was the only one of slave originAnd so he stuck close to TheoThe tere never far apart

Theo on the other hand, soon became quite popular

He wasn’t a natural born leader, but his confident attitude and sharp hich he spoke fascinated peopleHe had a tendency, however, to be quite aloofHe didn’t let people get too close to him, but this just added to his charm

In contrast, Lynn felt hi, with no particularly unique traitsHe found that people started treating hi one who’s alith Theo’, or ‘that no-body who clings to Theo’

Lynn and Theo didn’t expect there to be many other students at the class this early, which is why they came at this tiretted their decision

Lynn felt his heart drop

He looked at the part of the room where the voice caht there, talking to her friends

Just then Yuven turned and saw theed inYou look stressed Theo, have you perhaps been through a recession or so?”

“I’m perfectly fine, thank youAnd I don’t knohat the hell you’re talking about with recessions”

Yuven’s friends watched as the two bickeredEach one of them was dressed fashi+onably and wore makeupLynn felt nervous when they cast inquisitive eyes over him

“Oh really? Well then you mean you just look like that norly

Yuven turned back to her friendsThey all giggled quietly, and a few of thelances back towards Lynn and Theo

“What the hell’s wrong with them,” Theo oWe have to get ready for the classThose seats over there are free”

Lynn hurried along Theo and they sat down together at a desk

Lynn had chosen a desk as far away from Yuven as possible, but her shrill voice still reverberated around the roo

“If you marry it just has to be to another aristocrat, doesn’t itAnd if possible so, “Guys who speak Toriaria are so lame”

The two boys had no doubt her words were ue

“Don’t worry about her, TheoJust ignore her,” Lynn said, but he knew Theo was angry

He gripped one of his legs, and was tapping the floor with his foot, restlessHis expression was hard to read, but he looked troubled

Lynn recognized this as Theo’s habit when he was irritated about so for the class, but then a group of boys entered the rooant air about theroup had black hair, and a neat fringe that was cut and styled perfectly, and he had a handsome face with classical featuresWhen Yuven noticed him she turned silent, and quickly checked and double checked her appearance

Re, “in particular the ‘boundary between so’ hat I found hardI still don’t quite understand it”

“Ah yes, that part”

The two continued their conversation quietly

Teri man from AlintoHis fahly esteemed students, Yuven hid her usual cold like, thorn filled derace and flattery

She was always like thisShe changed her attitude at the drop of a hat depending on who she was talking to, or who she was in the roo, had been beco more and led to ignore her frivolous nature when he was in the same classroom as her

The reason the two of them couldn’t relax when she was around, was her prickly attitude to those of lower social class than her, as well as the fact that, sorated on their nerves

However these things weren’t in truth any more than secondary reasons for their dislike of YuvenThe biggest reason was her appearance

She was cute
