984 Stalker (1/2)
The first time Zhang Zian heard about the Shimen Street Primary School, he had considered whether or not he should go to the place and take a look; however, he was about to leave for the capital and he needed to pack a lot of things. Furthermore, the internal team in the film group needed to prepare a statement for the media and had given him some lines to memorize.
Shimen Street Primary School was not far from Zhonghua Road Primary School––they could be considered neighbors––so upon hearing Wang Yaning mention the situation again, he knew that Vladimir was definitely planning on making a trip there itself. Since Zian wasn't doing anything, he decided to follow along.
Wang Yaning said, ”It can't be that you're going to be doing bad things, right? I'm warning you––if you want to do anything bad, go alone. Don't bring Little Celery along.”
”I'll go by myself. Little Celery, you should go back.” Zhang Zian had not planned on bringing Little Celery along. If they really met a young cat that had been harmed a lot, it might scar the girl.
Little Celery was still hesitating a bit, but Wang Yaning urged, ”Little Celery, you have to come here in the afternoon for duty. It's better if you go back. Come over earlier, after you finish your meal. Otherwise, there will be no one taking care of the hamster.
”Then… Brother Store Manager, I'll go. Bye-bye.” Little Celery waved at Zhang Zian.
Zhang Zian said, ”Bye-bye! Be careful on the way back. Go directly home, and don't talk to strangers or enter their cars.”
”I know!” Little Celery quickly jogged off.
”All right, then I'll go, too. Are you not leaving yet?” Even though Zhang Zian really wanted to leave Wang Yaning, who was scary to provoke, he needed to still pretend.
”Do I need you to care about what I'm doing? Of course I also need to go, but I won't go with you!” Wang Yaning hugged her chest with both arms, backing away like she was on guard in order to get further away from him.
Zhang Zian was helpless and called out, ”Vladimir, let's go now.” The human and the cat walked towards the entrance to the school.
”Where did you go just now? Your whole body is dirty,” Zhang Zian inquired.
It raised up a front paw and rubbed its face. Instead of rubbing its face clean, it rubbed it until it was even dirtier. It said, ”I was dealing with the stray cats nearby. I wanted to see where they usually ate, where they rested, and then I wanted to dissuade cats that were fighting from fighting in the territory.”
”You were quite busy.” Zhang Zian did not think that in such a short time it would be able to do so much.
It sighed and said, exasperated, ”Really, even though they are all poor, middle-class peasants, they fight so hard for the remnants. They are not bandits who occupy the mountains as kings, so why are they fighting for territory? At present, the big enemy is in front, and stray cats should unite against the outside world. First, they should concentrate their efforts on solving the main external contradictions. The internal contradictions among the cats can be solved slowly… To put it bluntly, it's the mindset of small-scale peasants that cause them to make a fool of themselves.”
Zhang Zian was speechless. It was such a pity his middle school politics teacher died so early.
”However, most of the stray cats here understand logic. After my persuasion, they are willing to leave behind their suspicions from before and unite together. They joined The National United Front Against the Holy Cat Statue,” it added. ”Oh, right, I just thought of the name. It doesn't have any special meaning.”
Before Zhang Zian managed to say something insulting, Vladimir seemed to have noticed something and turned its head to take a look. ”The little girl who's constantly tense and class conscious is following you.”
That was such a long way of describing a person… Zhang Zian said in his heart he did not know any girl that was class conscious… He turned his head back to look and, around 50 meters behind him, a primary school girl was suspiciously following him, using the trees on the sidewalk as cover.
