After hearing the ”Bakeneko” legend, Zhang Zian thought he had some understanding of the Reincarnated Dog and some vague speculations. Though there were still many doubts, he was less concerned now. Since this was not his ”home”, he couldn’t release the Reincarnated Dog. The details could only be studied slowly after returning home.
Staying in the bedroom the whole time might make Lauren worried, so he asked Richard to go downstairs with him.
After visiting the wax museum yesterday, he took the elves to the Korean barbecue restaurant on the Walk of Fame. Since it was the afternoon, the always-crowded restaurant finally had some vacant seats for Zhang Zian, so that he could take the invisible elves to sit in a secluded corner. He ordered three barbecues without any spices. Fina, Old Time Tea and Snowy Lionet all enjoyed the lunch very much and kept praising the chef’s cooking skills. But when Zhang Zian looked at the money he needed to pay at check-out, he really wanted to cry…
Tomorrow was Thanksgiving, the day he intended to return home. Snowy sent him a message that Deng Jie would be available on the coming weekend to go with them to the dog market.
Los Angeles was a place full of so many attractions that even if he had one more month here, he wouldn’t be able to explore every corner. So, he decided it was time for him to return to China and run his business again.
When he came downstairs, he saw that Tim was moving a table to the backyard, so he rushed over to help him.
”Hi, good morning! Jeff, did you sleep well yesterday?” said Tim.
”Good morning! Yes, I slept very well,” Richard said for Zhang Zian. ”Tim, actually... today is the last day for me to train cats.”
”Oh?” Tim was stunned. He was hesitant to ask something, but did not ask.
”Rest assured, I can complete the training today. I’ve already booked the plane ticket for tomorrow.” said Richard.
”Do you have to go so soon?” Tim frowned, ”At least stay for tomorrow. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I'd like to introduce you to everyone.”
”I’m sorry, but there’s something at home that I need to deal with. Anyway, I will come to the United States in the future and our paths will cross again.”
Zhang Zian was thinking about the attractions he didn’t get the chance to visit this time, such as Beverly Hills, Staples Stadium, Disneyland, and Venice Beach. He would find another time to visit them in the future, and perhaps he would be accompanied by more elves at that time.
As for Thanksgiving, he wasn’t interested in this festival, and didn’t think it was necessary for him to meet the relatives and friends of the Kellers.
Hearing that Zhang Zian had business at home, Tim stopped urging him to stay. Together they lifted the long table into the backyard. Lauren went to the supermarket to get groceries again. Since a lot of people would be coming to the party tomorrow, she must prepare enough food.
”About the thing you asked me last time.” Tim patted his head as if something just occurred to him, ”I asked a few close friends, andthey said that the CFA may admit chocolate-colored Abyssinian cats soon. ”
”Really? Great!”
Zhang Zian was sincerely pleased. Cathy's insistence had finally moved the CFA. Imagine how happy she would be if she heard this news!
”Jeff, are you raising Abyssinian cats in China? Why are you so concerned about this? These cats are rare, and I didn’t see one when I went to your store last time,” said Tim, who had observed Zhang Zian’s expression curiously.
Zhang Zian smiled and came up with an excuse, ”No, a friend of mine raises them.”
He was not going to participate in the CFA game for the time being, whether it was in the China region or international regions, so he might not meet Cathy again. But he heartily congratulated her, for her insistence had finally paid off.
