Chapter 311 Got missing (2/2)

She was relieved.

“Mom, Ansheng said he feels sleepy.” Wuyou took Ansheng to Xia Nuan.

Xia Nuan saw that Ansheng was rubbing his eyes and felt sleepy.

“Mom, I’m sleepy.” He said, begging for a hug.

Xia Nuan bent down to take Ansheng into her arms, and kissed on his forehead. She said to Mi Ke’er, “Let’s go home. It gets darker. You also need a rest.”

Mi Ke’er smiled, “You go first. I want to stay here alone.”

“Get back earlier. We’ll wait for you for supper.”

Mi Ke’er nodded, “Ok. I will.”

Taking Ansheng in her arms, Xia Nuan took children to the house. The gentle breeze from the sea made her feel a little chill.

Then she went faster.

But Mi Ke’er didn’t feel cold at all. The sea breeze blew her and made her skirt fly freely.

The wind also blew her hair untidily.

She touched her raised belly, smiling tenderly.

After hushing Ansheng to sleep, it was time for supper. Ansheng was too small to eat so much at night, so Xia Nuan did not wake him up, but led Wuyou and Nianci to the dining room.

Di Luoke stayed to protect them. When he saw Xia Nuan taking children down, he put the paper aside, and started to set the table.

“Madam, where is Doctor Mi Ke’er?”

“Oh, hasn’t she returned yet?” Xia Nuan was a little worried. She let go of Wuyou and Nianci, and then walked outside.

“Madam, you just stay here. I’ll go to find her back.”

Di Luoke said, and went out quickly.

However, he came back alone. Seeing this, Xia Nuan felt anxious, “You didn’t find her?”

“I’ve searched around the beach, but nobody was there. Did she come back?”

Xia Nuan heard that, and turned to Mi Ke’er’s bedroom. She opened the door, finding it empty. There was no Mi Ke’er at all.

Xia Nuan went downstairs to look for her with Di Luoke, but they still didn’t find her. Xia Nuan kept dialing Mi Ke’er’s phone, but it could not be connected. When she redialed, the phone was turned off.

“Madam, what’s this?”

Di Luoke walked to the shore, stopped, bent down, and pointed at something brought by the waves to the shore.

Xia Nuan ran to have a look at it. It was a lady watch. Mi Ke’er always wore it, but now it was on the shore. Xia Nuan took the watch, and her look grew more serious.

“Could she commit suicide?” Di Luoke gave the worst speculation.

Xia Nuan shook her head, “No, she won’t do it even for her baby. I think she must be kidnapped by someone.”

Xia Nuan and Di Luoke decided to drive the cruise ship to search Mi Ke’er. But how could they find her over the vast sea?

“While we were going for a walk on the beach, we saw a fishing boat driving towards us. But later it left quickly. Perhaps the people on the fishing boat were pirates? They kidnapped Mi Ke’er?”

“It’s very possible!”

“Then what should we do? We should bring her back safe and sound! She is pregnant with baby!” Xia Nuan felt desperate.

“Madam, now what we can do is just to look for her blindly.” Di Luoke asked her what direction the fishing boat came from.

Xia Nuan thought about it for a little while, “Perhaps, it came from the south.”

“Then we’ll follow the south. But, Madam, you can’t go with me. You should stay at home looking after children. Just leave it to me.”

Xia Nuan thought about children, and had to return home.

But there was no news after Di Luoke left. Xia Nuan was anxiously waiting for the good news from Di Luoke, and hoped that Ye Sichen would return, so that he could send more people to find the whereabouts of Mi Ke’er.

Under the refugee camp of Country S, Ye Sichen and Mrs. Ni were in the catacomb of Ni Feng.

Meng Zuo’s hoarse voice was echoing in the soundless tomb. His eyes were mixed with sorrow and esteem.

“Mr. Ye, actually you were entrusted to Ye Qiao by your father, the Old Mr. Ni, who had been kind to Ye Qiao. In order to repay his kindness, Ye Qiao adopted you at risk. You were just about five years old at that time.”

Ye Sichen frowned and asked Meng Zuo, “Uncle Zuo, I should have remembered things at the age of five, but I just didn’t know anything. Why?”

Mrs. Ni was tearful, and answered instead of Meng Zuo, “That’s because you’ve experienced the killing of your father. You were suffering from the mental irritation, and woke up from nightmare every night. In order to mitigate your suffering, I asked Zuo to take you a kind of medicine which can help you forget the nightmare.”
