Chapter 214 I won’t exculpate her (1/2)

Seeing Ye Sichen pulled a long face, Mi Ke’er pondered for a while, saying, “I can understand a woman’s mind. Maybe she is jealous. Maybe she did so because she knows your love to Luo Lan. I’m not saying this made it reasonable for her to hurt others. She has to bear legal responsibility anyhow.”

Hearing Mi Ke’er’s words, Ye Sichen frowned even more. Xia Nuan loved Ye Enchen and only had Ye Enchen in her mind. How could she be jealous with Luo Lan because of him?

Ye Sichen needed to investigate what happened.

Ken called and told him that Ye Enchen had returned. He also found that Madam Ye and Luo Dai’er were very close.

Hearing Ken’s words, Ye Sichen seemed to think of something and stopped frowning.

It seemed that he had to start with Ye Enchen first. If Ye Enchen really cared about Xia Nuan, then he should do that.

Ye Enchen returned to Modu City and found Ye Sichen directly, but the latter refused to meet him for a fan meeting.

Ye Enchen’s heart was torn with anxiety. He decided to find a way to save Xia Nuan from prison. He went to Zhongshan City but found that Xia Nuan had left. Later he learned that she had been arrested by the police of Modu City because of intentional injury, so he returned to Modu City without delay.

After returning to Modu City, he finally learnt the situation and found that the accusers of Xia Nuan were Ye Sichen, Luo Lan and Luo Mi. He didn’t expect Luo Lan, who had disappeared for more than ten years, to appear again.

Ye Sichen refused to see Ye Enchen. Ye Enchen had no choice but to call Ye Sichen on his own initiative.

“Ye Sichen, why did you sue Xia Nuan?” Ye Enchen came to the point.

“She hurt Luo Lan and Luo Mi. She committed a crime. So, she had no choice but to go to prison.” Ye Sichen sat on the chair, writing on the file with a pen.

“She is not guilty. She has nothing against Luo Lan. So, she had no reason to do so.”

“Mother said herself that Luo Lan was kidnapped by Xia Nuan. Luo Lan also admitted that Xia Nuan kidnapped, abused and insulted her. We didn’t accuse her for no reason.”

“You’re making a false accusation. When did Xia Nuan kidnap Luo Lan? At that time, she went to Aoshi City with me. She had no time and no thought to kidnap Luo Lan. If I were you, I would withdraw the charge against Xia Nuan.” Ye Enchen became more excited.

He originally wanted to find a lawyer to defend Xia Nuan, but no one was willing to be Xia Nuan’s defense lawyer.

It was hardly to say when did Ye Sichen almost control the situation in Modu City.

“I won’t withdraw the lawsuit unless you are able to reverse a conviction for her.” Ye Sichen hung up.

Ye Sichen pondered for a few seconds, then told Ken to come in.

“Investigate my mother and Luo Dai’er. I want to know what’s going on between them.”

“Okay, sir.” Ken answered and then left.

Hearing Ye Sichen’s words, Ye Enchen went to see Madam Ye at once.

However, Madam Ye seemed to have been busy lately. He didn’t know anything about what she was doing. After Madam Ye came back, Ye Enchen was told that Madam Ye wanted to cooperate with Luo’s group, saying that it involved business cooperation.

After Madam Ye returned, Ye Enchen came to the point and asked about the kidnapping of Luo Lan.

Madam Ye evaded blindly. She was even a little impatient.

“Xia Nuan didn’t kidnap Luo Lan at all. She left with me that day. Mom, tell me, who conspired with you to kidnap Luo Lan?”

Madam Ye insisted that the one was Xia Nuan. She had no intention of exposing Luo Dai’er.

Seeing Madam Ye saying with certainty, Ye Enchen couldn’t help wondering. Was it possible that Xia Nuan did kidnap Luo Lan?

Xia Nuan, who went to Aoshi City with him, was disguised by Xia Yan. So, Ye Enchen was also uncertain whether or not Xia Nuan kidnapped Luo Lan.

Ye Enchen went to the police station the same night and asked for a visit. Through the glass, he saw Xia Nuan who looked gaunt.

Xia Nuan’s eyes glazed over. She glanced at Ye Enchen casually.

Ye Enchen frowned painfully and grabbed the microphone, “Xia Nuan, I believe you are innocent. Rest assured. I will find a way to save you out.”

Xia Nuan laughed at herself. It was ironic to see that the person who finally believed her innocence was Ye Enchen.

Xia Nuan said with a smile, “Thank you, Enchen. If you really want to help me. Tell me who did those things in my name, including bringing shame on Ye Sichen and abandoning the children. What happened when I left Modu City? Who on earth was pretending to be me?”

When she was interrogated in prison, the prison guards told her everything.

However, she didn’t do those things. She didn’t believe that there was another Xia Nuan in the world just like her.

Ye Enchen concealed his guilty conscience and shook his head, saying, “Xia Nuan, I don’t understand what you’re talking about, and I don’t know what happened in Modu City. I was going to find you in Aoshi City. But you were not in there. So, I came back to Modu City again. I knew nothing about what happened before. You know that I have been recuperating.”
