That was used to cover up their secret love affair.
Xia Nuan couldn’t rebut since Si Nanyin told the truth. Xia Nuan was Ye Enchen’s wife but was with Ye Sichen. She couldn’t explain the reason since no one would understand it. As long as Ye Sichen understood her, nothing else mattered.

Xia Nuan bit her lips and rubbed her hands together. She felt self-contemptuous. But if she thought about herself like that, she would defeat herself willingly.
Then she looked up and looked at Si Nanyin, “Because I am pregnant. The kid deserves to have an intact family.”
“You…” Si Nanyin was speechless and angry. Her hand was trembling.
Ye Sichen noticed that Si Nanyin was talking to Xia Nuan. He knew about Si Nanyin who must say something harsh. So, he walked to them and held Xia Nuan’s hand, “What’s the matter, Nanyin?”
Si Nanyin pretended like nothing happened, “I am fine. Chen, wish you two live a happy life.”
Ye Sichen was a little bit surprised, but he smiled immediately, “Thank you. I also wish you to find a true lover.”
Si Nanyin forced a smile, “Well, I will be happy as long as you are happy.”
Ye Sichen felt guilty. He looked at Si Nanyin and patted on her shoulder, “You, too.”
