Chapter Eight: To be the Father (1/2)

Xia Nuan is brought to the private doctor of Ye Sichen for a comprehensive physical examination.

Each step is quite strict.

The physical examination result shows that Xia Nuan is very healthy. However, she is a little weak after delivery, so she needs to supplement nutrition.

The private doctor Mi Ke’er tells Ye Sichen Xia Nuan’s physical status.

Ye Sichen nods head and watches at Xia Nuan standing outside. He says to Mi Ke’er: “Go out first.”

Mi Ke’er has a look at Xia Nuan and then leaves sensibly.

Only Xia Nuan and Ye Sichen stay in the room. The unexplainable nervousness feeling attacks Xia Nuan’s heart once again. She can only withdraw her eyesight because she doesn’t dare to stare into Ye Sichen.

“You need nutrition. You have to rest on the bed for a few days from tomorrow.”

“No, thanks. Mr. Ye, I am not delicate. I come to work.”

Xia Nuan feels that he is incredibly kind.

Ye Sichen frowns: “Mi Ke’er told me that your body is rather weak after the delivery. My two children are still very young. You can look after them on the bed. As to your child, I don’t mind you bring him to work here.”

“No, thanks, Mr. Ye. My child has already...died after birth.” Xia Nuan makes a lie despite the sadness.

Ye Sichen walks into the hotel successfully after exchanging his clothes with the bodyguard in the car.

Xia Nuan also walks inside after dressing as a boy.

Ye Sichen is a man focusing on privacy. He doesn’t want to give rise to the guesswork and gossip of the media because of a nanny.

“Bill, I don’t want my fans to stay here overnight. Ask them to go back and take a rest.” After entering the hotel, Ye Sichen commands his bodyguard next to him with a dignified expression.
