Chapter 26 - Sorry (2/2)

She Yuan didn’t dare to go on kissing Ruan Bai, because he knew if he went further, his desire would run rampant and Ruan Bai would have no chance to get out of the car. He unfastened Ruan Bai’s seat belt, and they got out together.

Ruan Bai looked at She Yuan with curious eyes and didn’t understand why She Yuan followed him out of the car.

“Why did you get out?”

She Yuan didn’t explain. “Let’s go.”

Ruan Bai didn’t have the key because yesterday he had gone downstairs in such a hurry that he had worn only his pajama. Besides, he had had no chance to report to his parents because he had been directly taken away by She Yuan last night.

With a guilty conscience, Ruan Bai rang the doorbell. Qi Qiuyu opened the door. She Yuan stood beside Ruan Bai quietly. No matter how cold and serious he used to be, now he was just a junior who had made mistakes.

“Mom, I’m back.”

Qi Qiuyu gave her son a cold look, then turned to look at the guy who had taken her son away without her permission.

“Oh, you are back? Do you regard our home as nothing more than a hotel? Even if you think so, you should give back the key of your hotel room to the receptionist before leaving…” Speaking of which, she turned to She Yuan and continued, “Yuan, you two are not married yet. How could you take him away without telling me?”

Ruan Bai stood obediently in front of his mother and admitted his mistakes. When Qiqiu Yu was speaking, Ruan Bai nodded repeatedly as if to say, “Mom, you are quite right. It’s all my fault.” He had a good attitude.

It was nothing for She Yuan to be scolded by Qi Qiuyu. He knew that he deserved a scolding because what he had done worried Ruan Bai’s parents. But when he saw Qi Qiuyu scold Ruan Bai , he felt uncomfortable.

He pulled Ruan Bai behind him and bowed to Qi Qiuyu. “Auntie, I’m terribly sorry to have worried you because I took him away without your permission. If you are still angry, you can punish me. I just hope you can take care of your health.”

Qi Qiuyu had the right to lecture her son, but had no right to scold her friend’s son. Moreover, She Yuan had already offered a sincere apology for his behaviour. So, even though she was still angry, for the sake of her best friend Li Qingge who was She Yuan’s mother, she could’t vent her anger on She Yuan.

Ruan Bai stuck his head out from behind She Yuan, as his eyes wandered restlessly over Qi Qiuyu’s face, trying to read her thoughts from her expression. Qi Qiuyu made a threatening gesture to him, hinting that he’d better not get carried away. Ruai Bai stuck out his tongue at her.
