“Great god, are you like super pissed off? You’ve been saying some weird stuff.” UltimateTruth asked.

“Uh, are you guys really journalists?” Li Yao was speechless. They were asking him a lot of weird questions.

“Ahem, he’s a newcomer that I brought along with me. Hope you wouldn’t mind him.” ShadowDay gave UltimateTurth a pull on the sleeve. “What’s your name? Can we be friends?”

Li Yao paused for a moment, he accepted ShadowDay’s friend request. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”

“Turns out it’s the great Liao Yuan.”

“Add me, add me too.” UltimateTruth sent out a friend request to Li Yao in a hurry. “Just now, I thought you were the great StarFire, turns out you’re not him.”

Li Yao was stunned after seeing UltimateTruth’s name. He did not expect to have encountered such a well-known person, he would soon become a successful game journalist in the future.

His most notable work was when he single-handedly screwed up a large guild. There were stories saying members from the guild had framed his mentor. To avenge his mentor, he had been digging up the guild’s scandals for years.

At that time, he was already a famous journalist and his articles were followed by many players. His influence was no less than that of a frontline commentator. The guild’s scandals had floated on the internet for days. For several years, he made various articles and reports making fun of the guild and used them as a negative reference when making comparisons.

The examples that he had made did exist, and the guild used various methods to bring him down. As journalists, they could change their identities and the guild could do nothing about it. In the end, the guild did not disband, but their scandals had reeked their reputation and they were basically in ruins.

Li Yao heard that this person had contacts with many expert players. Right before Li Yao was reborn, UltimateTruth was already one of the top ten journalists in the game. He was not just top ten in China, but also selected by all other races.

He did not expect this big figure of a reporter to be so naïve.

Li Yao smiled and accepted his friend request. “You were talking about StarFire? Both of us are buddies.”

“Next time when we have the chance, you can introduce him to us.” After ShadowDay said so, he realized that he was coming off a little rude. They had just met and he was already making a request. “If it’s inconvenient, please don’t mind me.”

“It’s just a small matter, we will have the chance.” Li Yao nodded in acknowledgement. It was important for him to build a good rapport with a good journalist.

“That’s very much appreciated.” Shadow was grateful. “I didn’t expect the great god player to be so skilled but so easy-going with people.”

“Hey, hey, why are you two having a chat right now? The Boss is going to be killed by them!” UltimateTruth was getting anxious and he pointed at the Boss. “Liao Yuan, you have worked so hard to kill the Boss just to have your kill taken away by others. This is the first kill, but why are you so chill?”

Li Yao snapped back to reality and looked at the Boss that only had a little Health left. “Let them have their way, it will save me a great deal of effort.”

“Great god, what are you talking about?” Ultimate could not understand what he was saying.

“That’s enough, stop babbling on. The great god has his own plans, just wait and see.” Shadow was old-fashion, and from Li Yao’s reaction, he was certain of his judgement.

The members of Getaway Studios were a group of experts with unparallel co-ordination. The Boss only had one working arm and was unable to unleash his skill. They were still able to hold him down even though they were Level 2, and they still had their high-grade equipment on. As long as they did not take off their equipment, they would be able to finish him off in no time.

Their combat power did not have much of an impact. The crippled Boss was killed while Li Yao was having a conversation with the two journalists. His Health was emptied to zero.

“Over, it’s really over!”

“We got the Boss’s first kill!”

“Amazing! Getaway Studios is invincible!”

“Purple equipment, purple equipment!”

“You guys just wait and see. The world announcement is coming up soon. We got the Boss’s first kill.”

A group of Getaway Studios members began to spam messages on all major channels, livening up the major public forums.

A stone casted would cause thousands of ripples. People started asking them about their achievement, and some were envious, jealous and hated them. News of Getaway Studios taking down the first Boss kill spread like wildfire.

“Dude, thanks.” GetawayThirdBro could not hide his smugness and waved at Li Yao.

Li Yao smiled and waved back. “Dude, no need to thank me. We’re all gamers and we’re supposed to help each other out when the other is in trouble. Don’t you think so?”

ThirdBro’s smile stiffened. Deep inside, he was cursing at Li Yao. ‘Are you f*cking crazy? I took away your Boss kill, and we’re supposed to be enemies. This doesn’t feel right.’

He was not bothered to figure it out and blurted instead, “A friend that has good senses. From now on, you’re a good friend to everyone from Getaway Studios.”

“That’s too modest of you. I didn’t expect the the great second regiment leader of Getaway Studios to be so gracious.” Li Yao turned to the two jounalists. “Look, this is how people from a well-known studio should behave. All men are brothers! I did not believe it until I saw it for myself!”

UltimateTruth’s jaw dropped. ‘What is this? Aren’t you supposed to be enemies? Why are you guys acting like such good brothers?’

ShadowDay contained his laughter and muttered, “Film this, film this! If this gets on the internet it will go viral.”

Li Yao puckered his lips and gave them a kind reminder, “Dude, don’t feel happy just yet. Why is the Boss still alive?”

“What?”

ThirdBro had his back faced against the Boss. Members from Getaway Studios were busy staring at their screens bragging while waiting for their colourful announcement banner.

Hearing Li Yao’s words, he felt chills up his spine. “Dude, this joke isn’t funny!” He frowned.

Li Yao nodded with all seriousness. “I agree with the way you see things, but this isn’t a joke. It’s the truth.”

“Psycho.”

Just as ThirdBro muttered, suddenly a mechanical click was heard.

ThirdBro had a gut feeling that something was not right. He turned his head and saw the tattered body of the puppet ablazed in fire and charging toward the crowd like a train.

“Move aside!”
