Wallace had previously fought against this person when he was still quite weak.

During that time, he has to avoid front confrontation as much as possible since this person's Mana Spells and even his amount of mana is completely on a different level.

Without the abilities provided by his Pathfinder during that time, he would not be able to save himself at all.

”It has been a while… I've never thought that we will be battling together for our planet's survival.”

Chalice still has his deep voice and cold aura as he greeted Wallace.

”That's true. I heard that you went to explore the Northern Continent. I wonder what happened to you there. I can feel that you have gotten a lot stronger.”

Wallace replied. He could tell that the man's power is well hidden. He is showing the strength of a normal Sage based on his mana capacity and control but in truth, Wallace knows that he's at the same level as the Grand Sages here.

He shouldn't be capable of having that strength in such a short amount of time unless he found some treasures or had lucky encounters in the Northern Continent.

”Haha! After seeing such technology that is not possible in this current era, who wouldn't get curious about that? I can only think that it's related to the rumors in that continent. And you're right, I benefited a lot thanks to my curiosity.”

Chalice said as he even briefly showed his Mana Shell to him. It only happened for about three seconds but Wallace could tell the changes on his level.

It was this person who had opened his eyes to make changes in the current Mana Spells that are existing instead of just focusing on creating an original one.

Chalice's Mana Shell is the first mutated spell he had seen that was several times stronger even though he's only using the same amount of mana.

Apparently, it was all about the technique and method of how to manipulate the mana.

After Wallace acknowledged that the man in front of him had truly gotten stronger, he asked him if there's anything he could help with... He's sure that Chalice wouldn't just greet him to boast about his powers now.

”Well… Although I know that it might not be the right time to discuss this, I want a reward after this war. In exchange, the higher-ups of the Z-Company inlcuding our battalion of Cryptic Mages would fight to the death. We are planning to use several forbidden spells after all. Even if we have immunity to it, we will weaken a lot and will become an easy target after. I'm sure that many of us would perish after this.”

Chalice said calmly but Wallace could tell that there's more to it.

He is indeed ready to die in this battle which also made Wallace very curious. It is quite impressive that the previous terrorist-like organization would actually be willing to sacrifice so much for the planet.

”I can feel your sincerity. Tell me what kind of rewards are you looking for.” Wallace asked.

Chalice took a deep breath as he looked at the man with a serious face.

”I want to explore the galaxy, the outer space. I have managed to get a level 5 Authority on Veda's Database and learned a lot about these Aliens that are attacking us. It's incredible to think that there are other worlds aside from ours. So I want to explore them…”

”You want to leave this planet? Alright… However, you have to survive first.”

Wallace answered after thinking for a moment. Anyway, it is not that hard to sell them an independent A.I. based on Avalon's system and of course, a few Spaceships shouldn't be that expensive for this underworld organization.
