Wallace decided to capture one of the Imperial Soldiers in order to get information about their current plans. Though it is highly likely that they would remain silent, he still wanted to try since the Celestial has a bit of power related to controlling his target's minds.
That power isn't that weak considering that the Celestial can communicate just using their thoughts so it might be worth a try.
”Tell me your name…” Wallace asked. He wanted to see if he could make him talk first.
The man he captured seems to have a strong life force and had a very high affinity with mana. He couldn't measure it specifically but he could tell that the mana gathering around his body has such a high purity…
The man can probably be considered as an Adept Mage or someone who established an Arcane Link.
The person looked at him with dead eyes as he remained silent. Wallace knows that this person is already expecting his death to come so he tried to clear things up for now..
”I won't kill you if you answer my questions. You may not believe me but I have no dėsɨrė to eliminate all of the Imperial Soldiers. I just don't like how you guys are indiscriminately attacking us. We may even be able to coexist…”
Wallace said as he tried to convince the man. It was as if he had forgotten that they were the first ones who attacked them in outer space.
Of course, he wouldn't mention that while making negotiations.
Wallace continued to try making him speak until he finally decided to say something after making several promises…
”If you can heal me now… I will answer your questions.”
”Oh? You are still brimming with energy. I thought that you're not affected with these kinds of injuries…”
Wallace muttered before taking something out of his Dimensional Storage Space. It is one of his Mana Rejuvenating potions that he previously received from Pathfinder.
”Alright… Take this and get healed.”
The man looked at the potion curiously before he unhesitatingly consumed it. There was no way he would receive poison from this man.
If he really wanted to kill him, there was no need to use such an elaborate plan and he can just end him by stomping on his head.
Soon, the man felt better as he slowly recovered thanks to the rejuvenating mana filling up his entire body.
”Thank you. I'm Darius… Just a normal soldier from the Empire until I managed to take the last gene optimization and become this talented with the mana…” Darius introduced himself as he resigned to his fate.
”So, what kind of information do you want? I don't have any high-level information I could share so I hope you can keep your promise.” He added.
He stared at Wallace's eyes. He knows that Wallace didn't have to keep his promise but he still wanted to try.
He finally recalled this person in front of him as he was included in the information they received from the natives here. Thanks to them being scared of the spaceships or the power of the Empire, they received plenty of information related to Wallace and other dangerous beings on the planet!
