249 Chimera (1/2)

Wallace and his team have now reached the floor where his Divine Sense was being greatly suppressed by another form of energy.

”Wallace?”

Yumi called his name after noticing that he went silent after reaching their current floor. The floor they were at was still looking similar to the other floors above so they weren't sure if he found any problems.

”Nothing, let's continue but we'll have to slow down our pace this time...”

”Understood!”

”Elaine, do you know his current location?”

”Lower floor and I can sense that he was now moving. He probably sensed our presence...”

”That's good to hear...”

If Percival can move around, it means that he either managed to defeat the enemies that brought him here or there were no enemies, to begin with.

It was good news. Once they saw the man, they can just quickly leave this ominous tower.

They fought against many more chimeras but because of their number, they can quickly finish them off. Luckily, the chimeras around here were not living in groups as it seems that they all have their own territory that they are protecting.

They were also encountering many mutated insects and arachnids around and these creatures are the ones who always assemble in large numbers to attack their prey, but luckily, they managed to easily defeat them as they found their weakness, the heat generated by fire.

Within this damp and dark tower, the existence of fire greatly weakens the living monsters.

Haaa... Haaa...

Clint was already getting tired of using his artifact. After all, he was the most adept at using fire elemental spells. Wallace can also use his laser guns but it doesn't have a scattered mode yet as it was only a focus fire. It wasn't as effective against a group of insects.

He can use his Lightning Break, but he can only defeat those in front of him unlike Clint's Flame Cover, Blazing Luminous, and Fire Wave which could scatter its attack and defend in all sides.

”Can I borrow your artifact?”

Wallace asked after they manage to arrive in a safe place. He saw that Clint was already exhausted so he wanted to at least help the man. This way, it would also lessen the breaks they have to take.

”This is a 6th Gen mana artifact. Although I can let you borrow this, it will be difficult for you to use it.”

Clint realized Wallace's intention. If not for Hannah and Elaine's various support spells, he may be unable to continue his skill usage so he understands the young man's worry.

”It should be fine...”

Clint no longer asks more questions and handed his right hand's gauntlet.

Wallace wore it on his right hand and it automatically fitted on his hands as he felt the power it possesses.

He silently used one of his item's spell to identify the gauntlet.

[ Glimpse of the Mind ]

The information about the artifact was suddenly revealed to Wallace.

[ Onyx Dragon Gauntlet

A gauntlet made from the scales of a draconic beast and phantom alligator's leather.

Effects:

- Contains 5 Fire Elemental Mana Spells and 10 Earth Elemental Mana Spells

- Low Cold Resistance

- Low Heat Resistance

- Reform - due to Spirit Channelling, the gauntlet can reform to its original state by itself even if it was destroyed or damaged given enough time.

Quality:

- Rank B - Mid-Grade Sixth Gen Artifact.

A gift from Arcanist K to Clint. ]

Wallace read the information and was impressed by each spell it has. With this weapon, any Adepts could easily utilize its full potential and be powerful in combat.

Unfortunately, the fact that only limited individuals were capable of creating a 6th gen artifact, many people would still rely on the high-grade 5th gen mana artifacts as their main weapon.

After all, they can still be found as long as you possess some money. Not only that, but the ”Series” like Archon, Royal, Enchant, and the others were also constantly improving their spells so it wouldn't be a problem to still continue purchasing their products.

”This is a good weapon...” Wallace muttered.

”Of course... It's the second 6th gen that I have.”
