201 Three Powerful Greater Demons (1/2)
The mythological path of the Great God Amaterasu?
This was the supreme god in japanese mythology, also known as the Goddess of the Sun…
Since that japanese woman was walking on this path, it wasn't hard to imagine what abilities she would have.
Staring at that pitiful ninja who died, Feng Lin's heart stirred. He checked for the items left behind by the ninja and took them for his own.
Over here, another ninja seemed to appear. There was a painted skin that could change his appearance completely. His face was covered by it and at the next moment, his features were completely different from his own.
Feng Lin now took on the appearance of that ninja with ease.
It was like he could see the 'out of luck' looks on those other Japanese's faces. He laughed loudly. After that, he lowered his voice and tried to imitate the speech of the ninja earlier. Only after sometime when he finally got the pitch and everything right did Feng Lin nod.
This fantasy land of demons reflected Izumo Country of ancient times. And on a map he found among the belongings of the ninja, it indicated the camps of different demons clearly. There were three markings on the map that was extremely clear, and these three markings undoubtedly referred to the three legendary greater demons—the Shuten-Doji, Kyuubi no Kitsune, and Daitengu.
The Shuten-Doji was an evil demon that feasted on women. It loved drinking human blood and had the title of 'King of hundred demons'.
The Kyuubi no Kitsune was a powerful demon possessing boundless charm and exceptional beauty. It was a fox with nine tails, and each tail contained a different ability.
The Daitengu was a humanoid demon. It had a large red nose and even had wings on its back. It was attired in ancient-style samurai armor and wielded a katana. It also had an extremely arrogant personality.
Out of the three greater demons, the Shuten-Doji was the most savage, the Kyuubi no Kitsune was the most charming, while the Daitengu had the strongest combat prowess.
So, according to what Yamamoto Ichiro had told him, these Japanese planned to subdue these demons first, making them into their shikigamis.
The Japanese split into different groups. Fuuma Taro led some people to deal with the Shuten-Doji, and as for the goddess, because she was a female, she wouldn't be charmed by the Nine-tailed Fox. Hence, she went to deal with it.
As for the Daitengu, they clearly planned to give up on attacking it because it had the power of flight and immense combat prowess. It was too difficult to deal with it.
However, Feng Lin had other thoughts. Since the two other greater demons were targeted by the Japanese, he would only alert them if he went after one of the two greater demons.
Although the Daitengu was hard to deal with and was even capable of flight, Feng Lin himself could use the Cloudsoar ability. He wouldn't lose out to the Daitengu in this aspect.
If he could subdue the Daitengu as a shikigami using the gourd left behind by the ninja, he would obtain a supreme wondrous treasure. The presence of the Daitengu would greatly boost his combat strength; it wasn't a bad idea to use it as an extra fighter.
When he finally started a conflict with the Japanese on his own terms, they would surely have very fascinating expressions on their faces when they had to fight against a legendary greater demon from their own mythology, right?
The map showed that the location of the Daitengu's nest was located to the south of him, about 50 km away, on a mountain named the Tengu Peak.
In order to avoid trouble due to delays, Feng Lin didn't hesitate to activate his Cloudsoar ability as he flew in the air toward the Tengu Peak.
His spirit gene had been strengthened to 6, allowing his spirit force to be boosted immensely. The speed of his Cloudsoar ability quickened and the time he could use it extended greatly. He soared through the air with great speed, creating whistling sounds as he sped into the distance.
Very swiftly, an extremely tall mountain peak appeared in his vision among many other mountains. This mountain peak resembled a treasure sword pointing toward the sky. The peak was filled with many rocks and stones, and there were no signs of any flora here at all. The entire place seemed to radiate an aura of deathly silence.
The mountain peak was covered by a layer of black clouds that didn't dissipate despite the passing of time. Darkness was everywhere; the atmosphere felt extremely bizarre.
This was demonic qi.
Feng Lin lifted his head and looked at the black clouds covering the peak. The demonic qi was so thick that they turned into a material form. As expected of a legendary greater demon from the mythology, its strength must be completely different compared to the other demons and monsters he fought before. Even from this distance, he could feel a heavy pressure boring down on him.
Interesting.
Feng Lin increased his speed and flew nearer.
”Who is it?” An angry roar drifted over from afar.
A figure of over three meters tall sat on the mountain peak in a cross-legged manner. Thick clouds of demonic qi covered him, expanding and contracting with his every breath. This was clearly a greater demon that understood cultivation.
Sensing Feng Lin's approach, the demon inclined his head and revealed a flushed face resembling a dog. Its nose was very long and large, and coldness flickered in its eyes, exuding arrogance.
”Human, are you like those weak humans in the past who wished to subdue me?” The Daitengu's voice contained a cold gloominess to it, and its eyes stared fixedly at Feng Lin. Most likely, if Feng Lin pulled any strange moves, the Daitengu would instantly act.
