The gifts that my grandfather entrusted me

My name is Kazuki Tsukis.h.i.+ma

My grandfather died on March this year.

My house is quite large.

My grandfather was richer than my father, so my savings are quite hefty.

After my Ji (Grandpa) pa.s.sed away, my father told me to organize all his collections.

There is a storehouse in the premise of our mansion; it has been there for 80 years.

I’m honestly afraid and anxious to enter the storehouse.

Almost everything in the storehouse was covered with dust due to being neglected

I came here to take the stuff that Ji got from some place.

It was supposed to be a box containing something important.

But I didn’t know where it was, so I thoroughly searched for it everywhere.

I get s.h.i.+vers from imagining what would happen if I come here at night.

While I was looking through the boxes one by one, I found something.

It was a cardboard box, surprisingly, there was almost no dust on this box.

When I opened it.

I found two boxes inside it.

One box was unlocked, while the other had a small padlock on it.

My mission was to find the unlocked box and take it back.

I should leave with the box but, I was really curious about Ji's treasure box!

I took the box and sat down.

But the key…ah!

I remembered, when I visited Ji when he was on his deathbed, he gave me a key and said I would find out what it was when the time was right.

I fiddled through my pockets and took out a golden key.

It's the same size as the key needed to open the padlock!

I inserted the key and twisted it.

The padlock opened!

… a smartphone?

Inside the box was a smartphone and a few notes.

Ji wrote down something that was probably important:

”I was unable to use this device. If you, Kazuki, can open it, then I will leave this device in your hands. - Ji”

He couldn't use this phone?

What was he saying?

He doesn't know how to use a phone?

I tried and hold down the power b.u.t.ton for a while.
