171 Exams! (1/2)

The weekend ended in a flash and the couple found themselves coming back to Korea. However, unlike how they arrived, there was something clearly different between the two.

Yoona had her arms around his with a grand smile on his face. Minhyun had a mirrored smile as well.

The love between them was fresh and hot.

However, with their arrival, came the responsibilities. Since Minhyun pushed all his schedules to make his weekend free, there was a lot of meetings to attend. Yoona also had her exams to study for.

Now, the roles were in reverse. Due to White Mask, after a few days of meetings, Minhyun was able to continuously come home early. However, the person that was busy was Yoona. She needed to keep her marks as high as possible. Although her future was basically set with Minhyun as her boyfriend and the job at MH, she wanted to make her own achievements.

One day, while she was studying, she suddenly felt a pair of warm arms wrap around on top of her shoulders. ”Are you still studying?”

Yoona looked up, meeting Minhyun's eyes, before nodding. ”Yup. Some of my exams are on the same day so I want to study everything beforehand.”

He played with her hair with his fingers. ”Can't you take a little break?”

After their vacation, they were not able to communicate with each other a lot, much less sleep together.

She shot him a glare. ”I need to study.”

Despite the urge to stay with her a little longer, he understood her situation. He didn't want to bother her studies, especially knowing how hard she worked all the time. He stood up and ruffled her hair. ”I'm proud of you. Work hard. I will bring your dinner to you.”

A chuckle escaped her lips. ”Thanks.”

This continued throughout the month.

It was hard for Minhyun to keep all his emotions to himself. In fact, sometimes he just wanted to burst into her room and engulf her into a big hug, not letting go. But he needed to respect Yoona's boundaries. For now, he was going to become her number one supporter.

He knew that she wasn't eating properly due to focusing on her work so he constantly made sure that she had the meals to eat, sometimes, personally going to deliver them. He specifically told the chefs to include ingredients that would help her body to relax and focus.

At times, he would also leave post-it notes on her door telling her good luck and such. It wasn't his style to communicate this way, but since she would wake up later, he thought this was a good way to romantically let her start her day.

Yoona seemed to enjoy it. He was glad that Secretary Kim gave him this idea.

And then, although it was a slow month, the exams finally came.

The sound of knocking entered the room. It was around 2 a.m. so Yoona knew who was at her door.

She didn't look up as her eyes were glued to the content in front of her. ”Do you need something?”

Minhyun didn't answer right away and walked towards her. Then he smoothly sat on the corner of her desk, with his hand against the surface. He leaned towards her while c.o.c.king his head.

”I just wanted to say… Good luck on your first exam tomorrow.”

Since he wasn't going to be there in the morning, he at least wanted to give her one last bit of emotional support for her first test. Though since she was a hard-working, smart girl, Minhyun knew that she was going to do well regardless.

A smile crept up her face. ”Thanks Mini.”
