28 His Arrival (1/2)

Minhyun walked through the airport.

Striding beside of him were his security guards, whom were all clothed in black suits, and his secretary. They grabbed the attention of all the people around them. n.o.body could ignore the group of posh men making their way through the crowd. However, the main attention grabber of the group was no other than Minhyun. All the women couldn't help but stare at the beautiful at the lead.

Some wanted to get his contact information but his cold atmosphere was a sign that they would face rejection. All they could do was watch in awe before he could disappear.

When he was younger, Minhyun hated the gazes of others, to the point of wanting to hide. However, after going to school and running the business, the attention was now a part of his daily life. He had become accustomed to them.

Upon reaching the entrance, there was a black Cadillac waiting to pick him up. Another car was parked right behind to drive the security guards.

Before entering the vehicle, Minhyun signaled Secretary Kim to inform the guards about their departure.

When the MH Company first heard about his flight, they wanted to celebrate his arrival with a grand party. After all, their president had come back to his home country.

However, Minhyun had other plans. He didn't want to waste his time with such nonsense. He just wanted to see his childhood sweetheart. So, he declined their offer.

Secretary Kim nodded before facing the buff men. ”Our president is going to go somewhere private. Do not follow and return to the company.”

Although the guards were in charge of his well-being, Minhyun did not want to scare Yoona. He wanted to look as humble as possible. Besides, there had been no death threats in the last few days. He wasn't going to die anytime soon. Most of the people after him were just kidnappers who wanted ransom anyways.

In their minds, some of the guards wanted to protest, for they worried for their boss's safety. But they had to obey Minhyun's every order without hesitation.

They nodded and took a bow, watching the president as he went inside the back of the car.

Finally, Minhyun had time to breath. The guards were suffocating.

Secretary Kim sat at the front, beside of the driver. He informed him about their destination. The restaurant Bianchi.

For the third time, Secretary Kim triple checked to make sure Yoona was working during this s.h.i.+ft. If she wasn't there, the president would not be happy. Luckily, everything seemed to be going according to plan.

As the car speed out of the airport and into the highway, Minhyun couldn't help but stare at the view outside of his window. He needed a distraction from his thumping heart. Never in his life, did he feel so excited.

How long had it been?

Almost fifteen years since he last saw Yoona. Although he had photos of her, offered by his intel team, he rarely looked at them. He felt as if he was invading her privacy. Besides, no matter how pretty the photos were, they could never show Yoona's true beauty. He wanted to see her in person.

”How long will it take to get there?”

The driver peered at the mirror, making eye-contact with the president. ”At least thirty minutes sir.”

Minhyun clicked his tongue. Thirty minutes? It was too long. He wanted to see her instantly. Despite his displeasure, he leaned his head against his palm, waiting for the seemingly endless ride to pa.s.s.

Multiple questions whizzed through his brain.

Would Yoona recognize him?

Probably not. She was only six years old when they met. Plus, after many years, Minhyun had grown from a boy to a man. There were many differences in his physique and personality. Although it would be great if she did, he knew that he had to be realistic.

Was live hard after her mother got fired?

Since Minhyun was young and under the surveillance of his father, he wasn't able to keep track with Yoona during his high school days. Although he heard that Yoona was a diligent student and had helped her mother with work, he wasn't able to get more to the story. There was barely any traces of her on the internet. That was either a good or bad thing, depending on the context.

How did she get involved with the Moon siblings.
