47 Chapter 47: Rewards Time 2/2 (1/2)

Since he needed to first train in water magic to be able to use ice he was kind of unhappy about it.

As he felt like training water magic will just waste his time. But he would still do it for the sake of using ice magic.

He then brought the screen to see his last reward and probably the most overpowered one.

Immediately after reading the name he used the scan function to see what is this technique even tough he had a guess.

[Healing light of Aether: Magic, that copies the light G.o.d Aether.

Can be used to heal all wounds, spiritual and physical]

Although the description was short and simple, it left Ned hanging his mouth open.

”Aether, isn't that the G.o.d of light and upper atmosphere?” Ned said while still shocked.

He knew not to underestimate this magic. As he can tell from the power of the technique of Hermes.

So this magic would be overpowered too. Well when he master it probably but still.

He wanted to try it, and so grabbed his knife and made a cut on his left palm.

Then he tried to use the technique, and after a second a weak white light covered his left palm, and once it died down, the wound was healed.

This left him feeling happy, as he finally has healing magic that he can use. Even if he felt that it took a bit too much mana for this little effect.

He thought to check the extent of what can he heal at the moment later by using some magical beast as a guinea pig.

Then he remembered that he didn't get a reward to help him breakthrough and felt disappointed.

But then remembered that Emmy had an upgrade, and thought why not to ask her.

”Emmy, why can't I breakthrough to rank five? Even though I don't follow the same like the warriors and mages from this world. Do I need some sort of item?” As he had a manual that can help him reach until rank 10 with no bottleneck he didn't understand why he was stuck being at rank four.

”There is no need for any item. You yourself had created your own bottleneck” Emmy said, and even though he noticed that her voice was sounding more human like he didn't pay it any attention now, and focused on what she said.

”What do you mean? How did I create this bottleneck?” He asked her.

”There was no need for you to master any technique to reach the following ranks. But since you heard from the person named Alaster that you need guidance to breakthrough, you unconsciously created a bottleneck for yourself.” Emmy said.

He was left there feeling like a stupid person. With the war and how he led his unit, he was starting to feel a bit smart, but it turned out he was still stupid.

Shaking his head, he asked her how to breakthrough.
