37 Chapter 37: Hell Talk (1/2)

After a couple of fights and searching for the demon general with no success, Ned thought that they should head back to the temporary base.

He had only used fire magic in his fight, therefore his people thought that he can use just one element. Although it wasn't something he needs to hide, he thought that he'll keep it hidden as a trump card.

Now he was determined to make those demons he captured talk. Although he felt disgusted with himself for torturing the demons, after all he came from a modern world, he had understood that if he was the one that lost the fight, his end would have been much more worse.

And ever since he entered this new world and met the humans he had felt a close connection between them, he didn't understand why but he knew that he would help them whether he liked it or not.

”Let's get back guys, it's getting late” breaking out of his musing, he ordered his men.

And they all started running back in the direction of the base.

And they had met many attacks along the way, and Ned thought that they were trying to know where his base was so that they can raid it when they relaxed.

He had with his unit went to save many bases the others had made since they entered the forest, and he finally knew why. They were tailing them but since he had the map, he was able to avoid this problem.

However, although his group was clear from this, the same couldn't be said for the other ones. And so he was expecting the attack and wouldn't be caught off guard like the rest of the units.

He had even heard from some groups he had saved, that their general's unit was attacked too, but he hadn't been able to deal with every problem.

Ned's group was easily able to deal with the ones attacking them on their return journey, especially with the tiger men and the horse men being in the group.

They were alone a force to reckon. The tigers were masters of close combat, while the horse men were masters at the spear.

Coupled with the magician they had, and Ned 's magic, every fight was done quickly.

Soon they reached the base.

Ned got them all to gather, and started to say ”We may have been tailed by the demons, so I want you all to never drop your guards, incase we get attacked at night” he didn't want to say that his group wasn't tailed so that he won't hurt their pride.

They all nodded their heads, and said that they'll increase the guards on the look out s.h.i.+ft.

Then after that Ned only kept those who had helped him interrogate the five demons captured.

”I have a feeling that the demons are up to something, and so I ask you to do everything you can to get information from those filth” Ned said to them.

Yulyas was one of them, and couldn't help but admire Ned. He had come to this war many times in the past, but he had also felt something weird this time, something different than the other times.

”Alright, I will do my best, as I had also felt something is wrong” so he replied to Ned.

And the other did the same.

Ned was happy with that and soon headed into the tent of the demon he had talked to before.

”It's youuu again” the demon growled upon seeing Ned once again.

His impaled legs were wrapped in bandages, clearly still injured. And it was ordered by Ned to just don't let him die, and feed him the minimum.

”You would tell me what I want, or I will do the same to you like last time, but now it will be your hands, and I'll make your small food portion even smaller.” Ned said as he glared at the demon.

The demon had already become afraid of Ned, especially his eyes, the only thing visible due to his helmet. But he wasn't afraid of him as much as his own people, therefore he will never talk.
