14 Chapter 14: Result After One Year Training: (1/2)

Once the morning came, he felt refreshed and full of energy. And after he checked his magician energy bar, he was pleasantly surprised, it was filled even more compared to the warrior one.

He attributed such progress to the oddity that is the s.p.a.ce, and he made a decision in his heart that he'll always train his magic in here.

Since he reached rank one, he decided to study the earth magic manual for an hour or so before resuming his warrior exercises.

He was going to start doing both meditations combined the next day, so that he can have more free time for other things.

He would first start drawing mana from the air, then let it pa.s.sively strengthen his body. While he concentrate on guiding another path of mana into his heart as it is much more dangerous. And so he would be doing both training for warriors and magicians.

And with his mind finally made up, he brought the earth manual and used it.

Once it turned into light particles and entered into his brain, he found the new knowledge in his mind and started reading it. As he had guessed already, magic was a manifestation of what your intent is.

If your intent is pure and unshakable you would be able to bend the element to do your bidding using the mana as an intermediary.

This however comes to many people as hard. Not because they have weak wills no, but because of the mana that is consumed is many times more than using a magic circle and a chant. And so the method to use almost all magic was by a magical circle.

Next it said, that you normally had to learn spells to be able to use magic, however that is only for the more powerful spells. Since he was just a beginner he can use magic with just a short chant.

Opting to try it, Ned memorized the short chant for an earthen wall about 1m wide and 2m tall. However he wouldn't say the whole chant.

”Earth Wall” Ned only said the key word of making the magic a success. And it worked. He could feel a part of his mana flow through his outstretched hand and into the air. After which it worked as an anchor to draw mana from the air, and then it turned into a brown earthen wall that is twice the size of what it said would be in the book.

He guessed the reason to be was how his mana combined with mana from the air before it started turning to earth element. It didn't say this would happen in the manual. But he guessed that it is his elemental body's doing.

He got up and went in front of the earth wall, got into a stance, and punched out. He was surprised as he felt that if he didn't use his all he wouldn't be able to destroy the wall. And that is using his gauntlets that are now giving medium increase to defense.

He guessed that it's a peak rank one spell.

After that he sat back again and continued reading the manual. As he didn't use much mana to use the spell he was still able to train more. Once again he tried a beginner spell that would launch an earthen spear from out of nowhere from the ground, it's key word was : Earth Spike.

He barely used two spells and he already felt more powerful. He wondered how strong he would become if he reached the upper ranks.

Along the hour he dedicated to using magic, he tried all those small spells that he can. And after that he started his body training.

A couple months later, Ned could be seen sitting cross legged in the s.p.a.ce. However he was floating about 10cm from the ground. And it wasn't by using the s.p.a.ce. He was using the earth gravity magic he had got to lighten his weight and be able to float.

Don't underestimate his progress though, as even rank 7 magicians wouldn't be able to fly. The fact that a beginner magician could fly would cause people to die from envy.

Once he was done with his meditation, he opened his eyes. And one could see inside them excitement and Fighting spirit flaring up.
