Chapter 1: Owl and boy (1/2)
At dusk, the setting sun, which is slowly disappearing from the horizon, is given a faint golden yellow color to the big house at 6 King’s Road, London.
This is a classic British villa, spacious, bright and stylish.
The three-story wall is covered with creeping claws. The roof is covered with beautiful brown tiles. The grass and flower beds in the yard are neatly rested. A luxurious Bentley car is quietly stopped. Outside the garage.
A beautiful sunset, serene and quiet.
In addition to the balcony on the top floor of the villa, a dark-haired boy is looking at an owl, and the strangeness between the two is incompatible with the style of painting in front of him.
Evan Mason stared at the owl in front of him, his eyes full of curiosity. Owls are not unusual. Birds that can be seen in ordinary residents' homes, especially on the other's claws, are holding a brown envelope made of thick parchment.
Ai Wen has a feeling that the letter is for himself.
But he wasn't sure how to get it, because the owl seemed to want to get some rewards from himself before he was willing to hand it over.
”Hello there!”
Ai Wen greeted him and tried to communicate with the other person, although it made himself look a bit silly.
”咕~~”
The owl screamed softly, staring at the boy with his head, and the brown pupil was full of alert.
”Don't be nervous, I am not malicious!”
Evan tried to make his voice look mild. He slowly extended his right hand. ”Is the letter you wrote to me, I think...”
When his words were not finished, he was interrupted by a loud shout from the building. ”Dear, you are ready, we are leaving!”
Then there was the voice of someone going upstairs.
”Oh, my mother, can't let her see you!”
Ai Wen suddenly woke up and refused to communicate further with the owl in front of him. His right hand slammed forward and waved, trying to drive it away.
”Hey!” The offended owl hurried to hide.
”Sorry, my mother is allergic to birds. She sees all kinds of birds, big and small, terrible.” Ai Wen waved his hand and explained in a quick tone, ”You must hurry out of here!” ”
It seems that Aiwen’s unreasonable action finally convinced the owl that the boy would not give himself something to eat. After a second, it waved its wings, flew up and slammed Avon, and threw the letter to his feet.
”Oh!”
Evan screamed in pain, watching the owl fly out of the balcony like a whirlwind, disappearing from his own eyes.
Don't care for the other, before the mother came in, he lowered his head and smashed the envelope under his feet. With the emerald green ink on it, he clearly wrote: Bedroom, 3rd Floor, No. 6, King's Road, Xiaohuijin District, Surrey. Mr. Wen Mason received.
”This letter, and the owl just now...”
Ai Wen narrowed his eyes, and these obvious and grotesque things in front of him gave him a sense of familiarity.
”Ai Wen, we have to hurry, your father has been waiting for us in the car.” A well-dressed middle-aged woman came in and said in a slightly serious tone, ”The first visit to someone else's home, late is a very tense. Rude things.”
”Know, Mom!”
