There’s A Monster

My mom and dad hurriedly entered my room.

“Why? What happened?” My dad asked.

My mom went beside me and started to gently stroke my back.

“T-there’s a man…under…my bed, Dad.” I said while stuttering.

Dad checked underneath my bed while holding his gun. “There’s no one here.” Then he checked the windows and all possible entrances but everything was closed. He inspected everything but there was no man.

“See. Baby,  it’s impossible, okay? Maybe it was just your nightmare.” My mom said.

“But Mom I woke up because I heard someone talking, when I looked below, I saw a man.”

“It’s really impossible, darling. This is your first night sleeping without us so maybe you haven’t adjusted yet.”

“If you want you can sleep in our room.” Dad added.

“No, but thanks dad, maybe what mom said is true.” Then I smiled so that their worries will be gone.

“Okay. We will go ahead.” Dad said.

“Sweet dreams, darling.” My mom smiled at me.

Then they closed the door. I forced myself to sleep but I can still remember what I witnessed earlier. I know it’s real! I didn’t imagine it. Wow! There’s a creature under my bed. Yiee! I smiled.

[Monster’s POV]

The girl was still screaming, until some people came. I saw by their feet that they are adults, maybe the brat’s parents. d.a.m.n! Her dad was holding a gun.

I hurriedly hid myself in the corner so that I will not be seen. I heard them talking, the mother said that what had happened is impossible. Yes, its’ true that I am only your child’s imagination!

Until it become silent, I will stay a little closer on this side to be sure. I saw the door closing and the light went off.

They are gone, it’s quiet so maybe they are really gone! Hay! Thank goodness. It’s so hard to forcibly hide yourself underneath! That d.a.m.n brat! I was nearly caught earlier.

Eh! What if I frighten her so that they will throw the bed away? Why is it color pink? Grrr. Annoying!

I won’t go out for now since maybe I will be d.a.m.ned again. It was my first time getting caught. Tss!

“Baby! Let’s go so that you will not be late st school.” Mom shouted at me.

I hurriedly put my belongings inside my bag. I did not work on it last night because I was scared. Because I’m recklessly doing it fast, the eraser was dropped. However, when I bowed down to pick it up, I found that it suddenly disappeared.

“Darling, the bus is here.”

“Wait mom, my eraser.”

“What’s the matter with that?”

“My eraser slipped out of my hand and now it suddenly disappeared.”

“Okay, just forget about it or else you will be late. I will look for it later.”

When I returned home and  brought out all my a.s.signments, I remember that my eraser is gone.

“Mom! Did you find my eraser?”

“Sorry darling. I did not see it when I cleaned the house earlier.”

Because I have a coloring a.s.signment, I have no choice but search for it since it will probably be needed.

“Where are my other things? Why is everything gone?”

Days pa.s.sed, some of my belongings suddenly vanished. The most weird thing which happened is when my cookie fell from my bed but when I was going to pick it up it was gone! It’s late at night that’s why I freaked out.

I immediately climbed and covered myself with a blanket.I saw Saver, my teddy bear which dad gave to me, and hugged it.

“Please, Mr. Saver. Save me from the monster.”

After that I lied down, hid in my blanket,  and forced myself to sleep.

Until I hear a chewing noise. I immediately took out my flashlight and peered down.

I saw that there really is a creature under my bed. Buuugss.h.!.+ “Ooowww!” The monster b.u.mped on the bed. He stared at me and because of surprise he suddenly went out of his hiding place.

I stared at him in shock, until I noticed myself smiling. Our eyes met. After a while, it seems like he is leaving.
