Chapter 18 (2/2)
”Where? ”Where is he?”
Jiang Ren only had one brother, and that was Jiang Zhong, but they had not met each other for many years. Now that Jiang Zhong sent him a letter, he was naturally a little excited. He quickly walked out of the courtyard and quickly saw Ling Dao. The other three disciples were wearing the attire of the Sky-splitting Sword Sect, so Jiang Ren naturally did not notice them.
”Is that you? What about my brother's letter? ”
Seeing Jiang Ren, Ling Dao immediately thought of Jiang Zhong, and a sense of familiarity arose out of nowhere. Jiang Ren didn't look like a messenger. Could it be that something had happened to Jiang Zhong?
”Senior, this is the letter Grandpa Jiang wanted me to pa.s.s to you!”
Ling Dao took out the letter that Jiang Zhong had written, but Jiang Ren immediately s.n.a.t.c.hed it away. Jiang Ren did not care about the others and directly opened the letter. He naturally recognized Jiang Zhong's handwriting. The contents of the letter, however, made Jiang Ren's expression darken.
”My big brother left?”
After a long while, Jiang Ren slowly raised his head, he did not expect it to be Jiang Zhong's ultimate move. Jiang Zhong clearly wrote that when Jiang Ren saw this letter, he was no longer in the world. Jiang Ren was naturally saddened by the death of his only brother.
”Mm …”
Ling Dao nodded, a look of sadness flas.h.i.+ng past his eyes. Jiang Ren regarded Jiang Zhong as a close relative, and Ling Dao was the same as well. Even before his death, Jiang Zhong had only considered Ling Dao, not himself.
”The four of you can leave now. It's none of your business!”
Jiang Ren waved his hand, and the four disciples of the Sky-splitting Sword Sect left the place. In the arena, only Jiang Ren and Ling Dao were left. Jiang Ren had just received the grievous news of Jiang Zhong and was unable to adapt for a moment as he stood at the entrance of the courtyard. Ling Dao also did not say anything. He could naturally understand Jiang Ren's feelings.
”Follow me in!”
After who knows how long, Jiang Ren finally spoke again, and then turned and entered the courtyard. Ling Dao nodded and followed behind Jiang Ren. Jiang Ren sat on the stone bench and looked at Ling Dao.
In Jiang Zhong's letter, the person who gave the most instructions was Ling Dao. Regarding his own life and death, he did not mention much about it, he only skimmed through it. Jiang Zhong made him ensure that he took good care of Ling Dao, and even more so, made him want to become a disciple in the Sky-splitting Sword Sect, to learn all his abilities.
From the letter, Jiang Ren could tell how much Jiang Zhong cared about Ling Dao. In Jiang Zhong's heart, Ling Dao was more important than him. Jiang Zhong had also explained his background, it was the Crown Prince Xiao Yao, but unfortunately, the King Carefree Palace had already been annihilated.
”Crown Prince Xiao Yao, a small sect in our Sky-splitting Sword Sect cannot accept a great Buddha like you!”
Jiang Ren slowly said. He frowned, but relaxed after that. Jiang Ren was not Jiang Zhong after all. If Jiang Ren did not want him to stay in the Sky-splitting Sword Sect, then he would leave. Since there were no people left here, there was naturally a place for them to stay.
”I came to Sky-splitting Sword Sect just to give you this letter. Since your Sky-splitting Sword Sect does not wish to accept me as his disciple, then I will leave now.
Ling Dao did not look at Jiang Zhong anymore, and turned to leave. In any case, he had not entered the Sky-splitting Sword Sect, so he had no sense of belonging for the Sky-splitting Sword Sect either. Being able to become a disciple of the Sky-splitting Sword Sect was a good thing, being able to not be a part of it was also something that was of no concern to him.
”Wait, I'm not done yet!”
