The Most Majestic You
Chapter 24 Part 2
Qianxi wasn’t with them on the ambulance and arrived at the hospital sometime later.
On her way there she kept checking the online comments. There were many fans on the official Weibo asking about Cheng Yang’s condition, whether the conflict between KG and R.Y was true. There were some even outrageously suggesting that KG had rigged the game. She replied privately to each of the postings until she found out that she couldn’t really handle all of them.
She felt so helpless.
She felt like they were overwhelmed by doubt yet she couldn’t refute them all.
He must be feeling the same way.
It was the same hallway. The difference was that he wasn’t holding his cigarette box, but his cell phone.
It was obviously the kind of questions that were coming through on the other end of the phone. He calmly answered with, “yes,” “yes,” “we’ll be back the day after tomorrow.” He finished the phone conversation with “sorry.”
He added, “It’s our own problem.”
She walked in front of him when he hung up the phone. Xu Jimo told her without asking, “It’s the sponsor.”
“En.”
With a gloomy face, he continued, “You went to see your uncle?”
“En……” She had almost been persuaded by her uncle.
“Do you plan to go back with him?”
“How do you know?” Qianxi raised her head amazed. Then she realized that she had a slip of the tongue and tried to rectify, “I’m just leaving a little bit earlier, since you guys will leave soon……” She immediately regretted-- --mentioning going back. No matter how she put it, it was reminding him that the compet.i.tion was over, right at the point when he just started. It was aborted prematurely.
How could she be so inconsiderate!
Her words not only revealed that she had been contemplating of leaving early, it also hit his current sore spot.
She wanted to sew her mouth shut!
However, Xu Jimo simply nodded and said, “I knew it when she said your uncle was coming here.”
Everyone had his own path to walk down, to the place he belonged. A runaway kid will always go back to her warm castle.
He asked, “When are you leaving?”
Qianxi wasn’t in a clear mind, “Tomorrow…...morning.”
It seemed to be a seven o’clock fight. She had to pack her luggage tonight.
It seemed to be quite a rush.
