For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Hebrews 4:2

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full a.s.surance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrew 6:11-12

Let us draw near with a true heart in full a.s.surance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 11:5

Through faith he kept the pa.s.sover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. By faith they pa.s.sed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians a.s.saying to do were drowned.

Hebrews 11:24-29

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compa.s.sed about seven days.
