Chapter 634 - Concerns

Since his father said that grandfather had important matters to attend to, Ji Feng naturally followed his father's instructions and came to his courtyard. Even if it wasn't an important matter, just being able to be warned by his father so cautiously was no simple matter.

Besides, Ji Feng could hear a strong sense of concern in his father's hesitant tone when he called. No matter how high his father's position was, he was still an ordinary father in front of him. His son was about to enter the battlefield, and even though his father wanted his son to gain more experience, he could not hide the worry in his heart.

In fact, regardless of whether they were ordinary people or aristocratic families, perhaps brothers and uncles would not have such strong kins.h.i.+p between them. But between parents and children, there would always be a constant feeling of separation; after all, blood was always thicker than water!

However, although his father was worried, he didn't say anything to stop her. A man's way of expressing his feelings was always reserved.

In fact, even though the great man, his son, had gone north to help his neighbor fight against the United States, the old man was still worried beyond words. In the end, the crown prince was killed in an air strike in the United States, so one could imagine the old man's grief.

Ji Feng did not dare to compare his father to a great man, but his fatherly love for him was no worse than anyone else's.

”Father, don't worry. I will definitely return alive and not lose face for you!” Looking at the direction of his home, Ji Feng silently commented in his heart.

Ji Feng was already familiar with the road when he arrived at the courtyard again. However, his car could only stay in the alley. Regardless of your ident.i.ty, those two rows of armed guards would faithfully and firmly abide by their duties.

You want to barge in?

He would first have to ask the guards about the automatic rifle.

Ji Feng stopped the car and strode in with his ID card and a pa.s.s that the Iron Army had prepared for him.

It was midsummer, and the trees kept chirping as if to remind everyone that midsummer had arrived. The trees in the courtyard were lush and verdant, which added a bit of coolness to the heat of the summer, and lifted the spirits of the people that had been sluggish.

The old man was sitting on a recliner under a tree, leisurely reading a newspaper.

Although the old man read very casually, Ji Feng was clear that the information that the old man could read between these seemingly ordinary words was far from what an ordinary person could imagine.

In fact, much of the information in this newspaper was extremely important.

Even though the old man had long since retired, he spent every day in the courtyard, messing with the flowers and gra.s.s, as if he was no longer concerned with the affairs of the world.

However, Ji Feng knew that those leaders would often come to report and ask for instructions. There was not a single one of those decisions that the lordmaster had not nodded in agreement. If the lordmaster didn't speak, then those decisions would be difficult to make and it would be even harder to push forward.

Although the lordmaster had retreated, his every move still had an extremely important impact.

Therefore, it was quite rare for the old tutor to be able to leisurely rest while lying on the reclining chair.

As Ji Feng approached, the Iron Army suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He looked at Ji Feng and shook his head, signalling him not to make a sound.

Ji Feng immediately nodded with a smile. Just as he was about to turn around and head to the front courtyard, the old man had already opened his eyes and said slowly, ”Little monkey, come over here!”

Swis.h.!.+

The Iron Army immediately disappeared behind the big tree in a flash. His duty was to do his utmost to protect the old tutor's safety and ensure the rest of his life. Now that the old tutor was awake, he naturally would continue to be his shadow.

Ji Feng chuckled as he walked over to the old man. Smiling, he said, ”Grandfather, you're not asleep!”

”Did I fall asleep? Little monkey, do you not know?” Old Man Ji scolded him with a smile.

Ji Feng chuckled. The old man was right. Ji Feng's hearing was definitely terrifying. He could naturally tell if the old man's breathing was stable or not. There was always a subtle difference between the breathing during sleep and when one was awake.

”Little monkey, are you leaving today?” The old man suddenly asked.

Ji Feng smiled and nodded. He sat on a stone chair not far away from the old man and said, ”Yes, we are leaving tonight.”

”Your mother didn't tell her, did she?” The old man asked.

Ji Feng nodded, ”No.”

”I should have told her.” The old man said slowly.

Ji Feng smiled, ”I'll tell her when I get back. Otherwise, I'm afraid I won't be able to go. Besides, there's no time right now.”
