Chapter 67 (1/2)

Eternal Life (永生) Ch. 67

Nine Palace Golden PaG.o.das

[TL: Jiu Gong, literally nine palaces, refers to the nine heavenly palaces that ancient Chinese people believed in]

“The Devil Qi in front of us is extremely dense. We should be more careful, I’m afraid that the number of ‘Heavenly Devils’ gathered in front of us is no small number.”

As the ‘Wolf Smoke Magic Sphere’ flew close to the ground, its speed was rather fast, like a gust of wind or a strike of lightning. Even the fastest galloping horse probably couldn’t match even a third of the magic sphere’s speed, although, compared to the disappearing lights of ‘Divine Realm’ pract.i.tioners and sword light, it was still much, much slower. However, caution sails a s.h.i.+p for tens of thousands of years. Thus Fang Han unhesitantly slowed it down.

He now had a firm grasp over some of the ways of using the ‘Sky Wolf Smoke’. He now knew that the core of the array for the ‘Sky Wolf Smoke’ was within one of the grids of within the ‘Seven Evil Spirits Gourd’, and that by vigorously concentrating his spirit within it, he could cause the array to circulate even faster, thus increasing the power of the ‘Sky Wolf Smoke’. The more scattered the spirit, however, the less the power of the ‘Sky Wolf Smoke’.

Stimulating the ‘Sky Wolf Smoke’ thus depleted spiritual energy at a greater rate.

However, the current Fang Han’s flesh was tyrannical, his mind extremely clear. Moreover, his spiritual power had greatly increased and, especially due to his daily cultivation of the ‘Primary Spiritual Technique’, the acc.u.mulation of his spirit became increasingly forceful, tempering and cleansing his will, waiting for the day when the acc.u.mulated force became enough to break through the barrier, turning the spirit into mana, and entering the ‘Divine Realm’.

This time within the ‘Heavenly Devil Arena’ battling ‘Heavenly Devils’ had greatly benefitted Fang Han. Moreover, the newly taught ‘Eight Sounds of the Heavenly Dragon’ was a supreme method for coordinating the spirit and flesh, and had extremely good mystical effects for helping condense the spirit.

Currently, gradually through controlling the ‘Sky Wolf Smoke’ and pondering over the relations.h.i.+ps between the flesh, sound, spirit, and will, Fang Han was coming to another realization. Suddenly, from in front of them, an extremely vast, intense chilly qi crept over. It was as if they had come before a giant snowy mountain.

When Fang Han sensed this chilly qi, he immediately warned everyone, slowing the speed of the ‘Sky Wolf Smoke’ even further.

“I have also sensed this dense Devil Qi!” From her chest, Xu Yue Er took out a yellow talisman. After lighting it with ‘True Fire Talisman’, the yellow talisman immediately flew away illuminating their surroundings with a stream of fire. Afterwards, it exploded with a bang, scattering into hundreds upon thousands of little meteors which fell towards the ground.

“Ah! There must be at least several thousand ‘Heavenly Devils’. My talisman was a ‘Devil Seeking Talisman’, a fa’qi which upon being lit and tossed into the air can sense Devil Qi. Based on the number of ‘Devils’ it senses, the talisman will explode into that many little meteors. Since it turned into hundreds upon thousands of meteors, an amount that we can’t even discern, let us try and hide first,” said Xu Yue Er in a dignified manner.

The eight female disciples all seemed to have become rather alarmed. Indeed, several thousand ‘Heavenly Devils’ wasn’t something they could overcome, not even with the help of bao’qi.

“That this many ‘Heavenly Devils’ have gathered here together, there is no way they are just playing house. There must be disciples trapped around here. And there must be many. We must past this area anyway, we should be fine if we are more careful. Even if we encounter a few thousand ‘Heavenly Devils’, as long as we don’t attack and focus on just defending, we should be able to buy some time.”

Fang Han was unafraid, bold but cautious. The eight female disciples of the ‘Jia’lan Group’ couldn’t help but admire his courage.

They flew slowly, their eyes scanning in front of them. There was a forest of mountains in front of them, the bare mountain peaks piercing through the skies, not a tree to be seen. Opposite to the peaks was an incomparably vast plain. Atop the plain, one could faintly see gusts of chilly wind blowing across.

Under the shroud of the chilly wind were none other than Yu’hua School disciples. This time, it wasn’t just a few disciples, but two to three hundred disciples!

These disciples were all caught amongst the shrouds of the chilly wind.

They were being besieged by a full three thousand or so ‘Heavenly Devils’! Tens of nearly ‘Devil King’ stage ‘Heavenly Devils’ were leading them!
