Chapter 27 (1/2)
Eternal Life (永生) Ch. 27
Sky, Earth, and Humanoid, Three Devils
Flying Yasha!
[TL: It is now Yasha because I searched the Chinese characters and it turns out there is an English translation]
They were devil beings only heard about in legends. Extremely ferocious, their bodies were strong like steel, strength incomparably great. From their backs extended two wings of flesh which could be used to glide through the air. They were the leaders of the Devils amongst the Underground Abyss, and were known as the Devil Generals.
They, especially the Flying Yasha, were extremely intelligent, and were pretty much no different from humans, as they were able to cultivate profound martial arts. Because they could fly, they were simply invincible against pract.i.tioners of the Mortal Realm.
Facing these Devil Generals, only Divine Realm pract.i.tioners could suppress and contend with them.
The skin of these Flying Yasha was especially strong, as hard as bone and almost impenetrable even with a flying sword. They also had great inner vitality. Even if one had its head cut off, the lower body could continue killing people. Only after a couple s.h.i.+’chen would it finally stop breathing and die.
[TL: A s.h.i.+’chen is two hours]
These monsters glided towards them like lightning, their speed very fast. Even killing one required many experts to surround it, how could they deal with ten?
Fang Han’s face became very horrendous.
He felt wave after wave of danger invading his heart.
He had read about Flying Yasha in his copy of ‘The World’. It had described the horrific races of the Underground Abyss, starting with the Devils, then the Yasha, and finally, the Flying Yasha.
One Flying Yasha could command anywhere from 10000 to 20000 Devils. They were truly Devil Generals.
With his abilities, if he used the ‘Spirit Wind Sword’, perhaps he would have the opportunity to kill a Flying Yasha. However, killing two was definitely a word of death.
“Die die, die die, die die.”
[TL: They aren’t saying die, they are making sounds]
The ten Flying Yasha landed behind the young looking Pink Prince, emitting burst after burst of a piercing, horrendous ‘die die’ sound. Afterwards, from among the Devil Generals who were wielding pitch-black, steel tridents, one of them spoke out in human language, “Okay, Yu’hua School, so many disciples are here today. It is truly so great. To let us receive so much blood and flesh, especially that of Divine Realm experts. To let us gain so many corpses to bring underground and refine into powerful golden puppets! We will also gain quite a couple ling’qi.”
This Devil General stood s.h.i.+ning under the moonlight, their steel trident flas.h.i.+ng with blue light. Clearly, it had been soaked in poisons.
This Devil General’s red eyes swept across the group of Yu’hua School disciples. When they swept over Fang Han, Fang Han felt as if he had fallen into a pool of blood, his mouth and nose filled with b.l.o.o.d.y qi.
The wisdom of the Flying Ye’cha Devil Generals was very high. To be proficient in speaking a wide variety of languages was not as easy as one would think. If they weren’t intelligent, they would only kill and eat human flesh.
“You Earth Devils and Humanoid Devils have always killed each other. In the Seven Devil Path Clans, Earth Devils practiced the best outer body techniques. To think that you all have now united together, did you all reach some kind of agreement?” coldly asked Yuan Jian Kong, Rank Ten of the Shan’he Rankings.
“The three underground Devil Sovereigns and we have already agreed and signed a pact. We are determined to end the Ten Immortal Path Schools, starting first in the Han’hai Desert. Afterwards, our great army will advance step by step, and flatten the empires protected by the Ten Immortal Path Schools, while at the same time extinguis.h.i.+ng your ten sects. We shall build the country of our dreams. Within the country imagined by the Devil Emperors, people, Demons, and Devils shall coexist, living together in cities, conducting business, growing crops, and managing all together, devoid of discrimination and fighting. It will be a country which doesn’t care about appearances and incompatibilities. Since ancient times, coexistence of humans, Demons, G.o.ds, and Devils has been the dreams of a Golden Age. You Immortal Path followers are divided between beauty and ugliness, good and evil. You have let humans, Demons, and Devils ma.s.sacre each other, and have caused many wars. Right now, all the killings shall end, and your beautiful yet ugly, good yet evil Immortal Path will be extinguished. Between the heavens and earth, we shall usher in a world devoid of beauty and ugliness, good and evil. Humans, G.o.ds, Demons, and Devils shall coexist in a new Golden Age,” softly said the Pink Prince in a sweet voice, sounding like a woman. “Your deaths are only but the starting point.”
“Underground Devil Sovereigns!”
Upon hearing the Pink Prince’s words, Fang Han thought of what he had read within ‘The World’. Devils were split into three different types.
The first kind were Humanoid Devils.
They were also known as the human type. They cultivated according to the Devil Path to the Divine Realm. For example, the Seven Devil School’s Xian’tian Sect, Zhang’hen Sect, and Hong’chen Sect, etc.
The second kind were Earth Devils. They were the ones which lived in the Underground Abyss, their lives brutal and evil, yet still filled with wisdom.
The third kind were Sky Devils. Sky Devils were the most mysterious kind, coming from the void in the skies. They were a diverse kind, experts at conquest and slaughter.
[TL: They all cultivate the Devil Path I believe, but the author leaves it out for the other two]
Humanoid Devils, cultivating the Devil Path, upon reaching the Longevity Realm, would become a Devil Emperor.
Earth Devils, upon reaching the Longevity Realm, would become a Devil Sovereign.
Sky Devils, upon reaching the Longevity Realm, would become a Devil G.o.d.
The training methods of the Devil Path had been spread by the void-residing Sky Devils when they came to earth during ancient times. It was vastly different from the training methods of the Immortal Path. The majority were based on a.s.similating one’s flesh and blood and forced despoilment. It based itself on pus.h.i.+ng out one’s negative emotions, such as anger, hatred, and evil. Using these cruel emotions, it would stimulate the body’s potential.
Compared with the Immortal Path’s care for oneself, warmth, and cloudless emotions, its spirit was clearly vastly different.
Between the heavens and earth, s.p.a.ce-residing Sky Devils were most mysterious.
Earth Devils were the most common.
