7 TOO MANY CLAUSES (1/2)

”Are you all happy?” the tyrant asked with a large grin.

Judging from the grim faces, they obviously weren't.

To save her existing company, Wei Xia Ri needed to let go of some of her people. And this way was the least vexing of all.

Her eyes scanned their faces and also the outsiders including the youth. Even he did not retort.

”Right now, I am not in the mood to keep this business. So I will make an offer,” Wei Xia Ri started with a half-truth. She really did not want such morally problematic business but her message can be conveyed in so many ways. She had a new plan in her head but of course, with this people who she does not even know, the introverted loner did not want to mingle with them as selfish as that sounds. ”Who wants to leave? I promise to let you go today and never hunt you down. Think of this as my last payment to your wages.”

Wei Xia Ri was short in her finances and she needed to fix it. If these people wanted freedom, it was the biggest wage! Who cares about their debts to her? It would lessen her problem if the general did not have to watch over them on the side. That way, she can focus on what she wants.

The men and women below looked at each other. Then people began to stand up, kowtow to the tyrant and remained like that much to Wei Xia Ri's confusion. In the beginning, the older generation started then followed by the younger ones.

”General, this subject has wronged you!” they begged.

'Wh-why?'

Unfortunately, a young servant boy caught her unintentional frown that brought him to hit his forehead to the ground. ”this servant did you wrong!”

”Huh?” Wei Xia Ri yelled. ”All of you stand up!” 'You are all so weird!'

”General, this servants have disappointed you. We beg your highness for your mercy!” Luo Ning, the pretty hostess cried out.

Wei Xia Ri's ears stung from her cries. ”Stop and and stand up properly, all of you! Where's your dignity?”

As Wei Xia Ri was having a problem about calming down the crowd, Yu Xuan Xuan felt even more confused herself. These servants of the general suffered under her but are begging to be taken back. Could it be that the tyrant's words have no credibility?

”As expected,” she murmured.

However, Wei Xia Ri wiped her face with her hand. ”Stop and listen to me. I am selling this building once and for all! Those who want to leave, just leave before I change my mind. As for those who don't, follow this general back to the mansion!” Then the general turned to Yu Xuan Xuan, ”You, just buy this one already. I know you got something in your sleeves! Just a thousand ingots of gold. Location is the best.”

The location was in a red light district, filled with many unknown. On the surface, it was just that but when one looks more into the geographical location of the building, it was not a place where the emperor's eyes can see. Not that the emperor was aware of it. On one side was the wall of the imperial gates. At the back was a road going to the residencies. In front was facing the red light district. And only the general knew what lies in the basement.

Yu Xuan Xuan widened her eyes, flabbergasted. She did not know which mostly surprised her as Wei Xia Ri was too damn shameless. Or smart? She had to agree that the location was good and this is a private selling. If the emperor learns about it, even he will cause a ruckus to own this plot of land. Little did Wei Xia Ri know about the emperor's awareness.

”I will think about it,” she answered.

”Good! Alright, that means it is settled! Xiao Yuan Yuan, where's my gold?” Wei Xia Ri obviously knew how rich the female protagonists are in this world. Yu Xuan Xuan for one can afford more than a thousand but that would blow Wei Xia Ri's cover up.

With her fists clenched, she sighed realizing how shameless this ex-fiancé of Zhong Lei was. ”I am Yu Xuan Xuan, how dare you insult your buyer?”

But selective hearing worked best for the tyrant. Her eyes glow and a smile pulls the edges of her lips up. ”Alright, let's sign the did of sale now! Hostess, do we have the papers?”

Luo Ning's brows knotted together. ”General, we have yet to have one except for your ownership.”

”I see, then pass me the papers and ink. I'll make one right now.”

Wei Xia Ri began to write like a modern lawyer as soon as her hands touched the brush and the blank paper landed on the table. The nonchalance in her face disappeared and everyone else were no different to air. It did not matter that everyone was waiting on her as they kowtowed except for the standing outsiders. She was a tyrant after all, how else is Wei Xia Ri going to prove Xiao Yuan Yuan wrong?

As soon as she was done, she read it over with a grin. ”Xiao Yuan Yuan, sign it!”
