Jiang Kevin was squatting beside a stream under a mountain spring to clean up the rabbits and pheasants. He had used the water that had flowed down, so as not to pollute the purity of the mountain spring.
This was because it had been many years since she had fought. At the beginning, Jiang Kevin's techniques were somewhat unfamiliar, but she was able to grasp this technique in a very short period of time.
First, she skinned the rabbit, took out its internal organs and placed them in a small hole she had dug beforehand. Then, she washed it with spring water. Then she took out a plastic bag, put all the seasonings in it, shook it, and put the rabbit in.
With the exception of the rabbit, Jiang Chen used his hand to spread the seasoning on them. Then, he placed the rabbit in the bag to the side for marinating. Then, he went to clean the two pheasants.
Jiang Kevin originally planned on roasting the two chickens like rabbits, but when he recalled the idea he saw in the TV series, he could not help but want to try it.
She first removed the internal organs of one of the pheasants and washed it clean. Then, she spread the seasoning on the inner wall. Then she glued the mud onto the pheasant, made a big ball of it, and set it aside for use. Then she talked about the other chicken doing the same thing.
After finishing all the preparations, Jiang Chen first covered up the organs he had removed and then randomly picked up some firewood.
These pieces of wood were not dry. If they were lit, a large amount of smoke would be generated. However, it was not difficult for Jiang Kevin, who had inner strength, to do so. She calmly took the firewood and began to operate it. After a few tries, the originally wet wood was no longer dried.
Jiang Chen found a flat ground in the mountain spring. He used his dagger to dig two holes, put two big mud balls in, and covered them with a thin layer of soil.
Following that, Jiang Kevin piled the dried wood on top of it. He took out a lighter and lit the firewood.
”Teng ~ ~” A flame immediately rose.
Jiang Chen placed the lighter back into his pocket and could not help but think to himself. This lighter was indeed much easier to use than the fire piston.
Jiang Chen tied the pickled rabbit onto a long tree branch and sat down on a rock. He reached out his hand and placed the rabbit on top of the bonfire. She narrowed her eyes and rotated the branch in her hand, leisurely roasting the rabbit.
A few minutes later, the unique aroma of barbecue began to spread. The little lynx, who was curled up on a boulder, wrinkled its nose and pounced on the fragrant scent on Jiang Kevin's knees.
It wasn't that it didn't want to jump onto the roasted rabbit, but it was because it was afraid of the high flames.
Jiang Kevin touched the little lynx with a smile in his eyes and said, ”Don't worry. I'll give it to you to eat when it's cooked.” If her skills regressed to the point that even cats despised her, ahem, she could just forget about it.
The little lynx that was drooling because of its craving had no idea that in its owner's heart, it had already become a test subject.
Twenty minutes later, Jiang Kevin retracted his hand as a rich fragrance wafted over.
Jiang Chen looked at the crispy and delicious roasted rabbit. Smelling the fragrance of the roasted rabbit, his saliva automatically dripped down.
”Meow …”
Only then did Jiang Kevin remember that there was still a test subject. Hence, he broke off a rabbit leg and threw it to the little lynx.
The little lynx soared into the air and grabbed onto the rabbit's leg, wanting to jump back onto Jiang Kevin's leg. However, she lifted it up and threw it back onto the boulder it was previously on.
The oil on the rabbit's leg will not drip onto Kevin Jiang's leg.
Jiang Kevin tore off his other leg and sniffed it before gnawing on it.
The meat was a little too hot, some wood, but it was also more chewy. With one mouthful, the burning fragrance mixed with the rich seasoning and the fragrance of the rabbit spread through his mouth.
Jiang Kevin's eyes lit up as he continued chewing on his food. In just two or three minutes, Jiang Kevin had destroyed two of the rabbit legs.
Instead of eating the other rabbit meat, she put it aside and put out the fire that was roasting the rabbit. She pushed the burning wood aside, revealing the steaming ground.
Jiang Chen's expression did not change as he reached out with his hand to dig out the two clumps of hard soil that were buried underneath. Putting the two pieces of dirt on the clean ground, she placed her palm down and cracked the soil. A strange fragrance immediately assaulted her senses.
When he took out the tender white chicken meat, Jiang Kevin could not help but close his eyes and sniff his nose in ecstasy. It was too fragrant.
Tear off a piece of chicken and put it in your mouth... Jiang Kevin increased the speed at which he ate.
The little lynx had yet to finish his rabbit leg, but a chicken from Jiang Kevin's side had already been eaten.
Jiang Chen rubbed his stomach and glanced at the remaining one. It was not because he could not eat anymore, but because he was afraid to get tired of eating too much.
As long as this thing tasted fresh.
Jiang Kevin turned his head to look at the little lynx. At this moment, the little lynx had finished eating up the entire rabbit leg and was lying there cleaning up its paws and face. It was keenly aware of Jiang Kevin's gaze and stopped what he was doing to look at her.
Jiang Chen picked up the little lynx and rubbed its stomach. After determining that there was no more space for food in the little guy's stomach, he threw it back.
One man and one lynx could not eat any more. It would be too wasteful to leave them here. Jiang Kevin thought for a moment and washed the bag he used previously in the stream that gushed out of the mountain spring. She dried the plastic bag again, put the leftover Chicken and the three-legged roasted rabbit into the bag, and stuffed it into her backpack.
As for whether the little lynx would eat it when he returned, Jiang Chen did not care.
After he finished eating, Jiang Kevin filled all the bottles he brought with mountain spring water and cleaned up all the traces she had left behind. Only then did he call the little lynx and they returned home together.
