506 If only they can see you (1/2)

Lexi meekly scoffed and didn't respond to Churu as she headed to her office. As they headed to the chief executive officer's office — Lexi's office — everyone who was on the way would automatically bow their heads and step aside.

It continued like that until they reached Lexi's office. On the other hand, Churu kept on throwing questions that Lexi ignored until they reached their destination.

”Lexi this place is huge!” Stating the obvious fact, Churu frowned as she was displeased that she was being ignored. She noticed that whenever the employees would see Lexi walking from the distance, they would scurry away or avoid her.

It reminded her of Tora that everyone feared back in the day. Now, Lexi seemed like a different person and not at the same time. Just what happened? Also, was Ethan really dead? Churu was clueless, but regardless, she didn't want to jump into conclusion.

Instead, Churu observed her inner energy. After a beat, her white forehead creased. ”Weird,” She whispered before closing her eyes and concentrated again. But to no avail, she could not find the system.

There were no tasks or anything of the sort. What's she brought with her was only herself? Was that it? But, how? Churu was only allowed to crawl out from hell and be a guide system because of the system itself! Hence, how could she descend on earth if she has no task at all?

Meanwhile, Lexi didn't mind Churu as she picked up her bag and coat before heading to the elevator inside her office that would lead her straight to the establishment's parking space. Even after hearing Churu's puzzlement, Lexi seemed she was alone as she speed-dialed a person's number.

”Lexi, why are you ignoring me?” Frustrated at the bug in the system that Churu assumed, she was more upset that Lexi was ignoring her as if she wasn't there.

'Everyone is watching me. Don't worry, we'll lose them later.' Lexi responded inwardly as she waited for the call to be picked up by Morris Liu.

”Ohh…” Nodding in understanding, Churu looked around in the small space of the elevator. Glancing up, there was a camera above which made Churu fly in front of it. ”Lexi, is Ethan dead?” As Churu examined the camera, she asked.

Lexi's slightly arched her brow up and pursed her lips. Just then, the line on the other end stopped ringing as it was picked up. ”Yes?” greeted Morris Liu with his usual cold tone.

”I'll be going today.” Without beating around the bush, Lexi said that confused Churu. Her senses were still heightened. Thus, Churu turned her head to Lexi when she heard Morris Liu's voice.

Truly, she was a lost dumpling as she could not understand a thing. Neither was Lexi gave her a detailed explanation of the current situation. ”Lexi, what's going on…?” Churu sighed heavily.
