Chapter 229 I canst let it pass, sorry. (2/2)
”Be thankful that my patience improved or else, my stiletto would have long been dug into your head. But, for the sake of our short friendship and colleagues, I will let this slide. Keep your distance away from me and never approach me if not necessary— I only warn once.” Lexi slightly twisted her stiletto while watching the force she used before she retracted it from his head.
”I hope I made myself very clear to you.” With those last remarks, Lexi proceeded to continue her strides without anyone blocking her— leaving Gael Zhang with that same position. Unbeknownst to her, aside from the excruciating pain on his groin, Gael Zhang was more turned on by her feistiness. Now, the urge to tame this woman slowly grew in his twisted kinks.
”Wow~! Lexi admit it, you almost caused him to bleed didn't you?” Fangirling, Churu flew onto Lexi's side as she looked at her with glittering eyes. At some point, Churu smelled the violence seeping from Lexi's being as if she would turn really aggressive before the scent faded in an instant.
'I told you, Sissy. I faced tons of lawsuits because of my violent ways— why do you think my parents assumed I hurt Ethan before?' Rolling her eyes, Lexi slightly shook her head as a complex smirk formed on the side of her lips. Well, as much as she wanted to avoid these kind of circumstances, people like Che Diayu and Gael Zhang just wouldn't keep their craziness within them and drag her with it— not knowing she could be really crazy in an obnoxious degree.
”I should really hold my temper much longer…” Lexi murmured as she exited the establishment to its parking space. To her surprise, Lexi slightly jolted when she saw Ethan Lu in the side of her eyes.
Stopping in her tracks as she turned on the side, there, Ethan Lu was leaning on the wall with an unreadable front on his face while staring at her as if examining her.
”You're here?” Raising her brows, Lexi's voice panicked. In her mind, Ethan Lu might or might not have witnessed what she had done to Gael Zhang. Her mind worked triple time more than usual and knowing that Ethan Lu didn't go inside and confront Gael Zhang, she was somewhat relieved with the thought that he must have not have seen it since he was just there; languidly waiting with his phone on his hand.
”Yeah, I thought you were taking too long so I wanted to check if Rika kidnapped you or not.” Slowly nodding, Ethan Lu briefly explained with a flat tone.
Just then, the screen of his phone lit up— revealing an incoming call with a contact name: Assistant Jiang. Ethan Lu remained quiet as he unhurriedly answered his vibrating phone while Lexi's brows furrowed by the unusual aura Ethan Lu emanated.
”Mhmm…” Ethan Lu hummed a tune as he nodded to whatever Lyrick Jiang was saying on the other end of the line. After several seconds of listening, Ethan Lu raised his gaze to her before he uttered, ”Arrange me an appointment to that agency first thing in the morning— I want to personally handle it.”
Ethan Lu ended the short call after his last statement that made Lexi quite puzzled. He then straightened his stance and slid his phone and hand inside his pocket while locking eyes with her beautiful pair of eyes.
”I saw what happened— I was about to come to the scene but seeing you already handled him, I decided not to.” As usual, Ethan Lu came clean as he honestly summarized his side of the story. God knows he almost lost control the instant he had a glimpse of the person Gael Zhang was blocking.
However, everything happened so fast that even before he could sprint towards them, Lexi already struck him. Therefore, Ethan Lu decided to retreat upon seeing the glint that flashed across Lexi's eyes when she stepped her foot on the back of Gael Zhang's head. Regardless, he was still unhappy and dissatisfied.
”Still…” Ethan Lu's eyes turned darker as he drew closer to her. Stopping in front of her, his eyes wandered onto the details of her work of art facial features as he gently tapped the apex of her pointy nose by his index finger. ”I can't let it pass, sorry. He crossed my bottomline— I can't be that kind.” Although his gaze had a touch of gentleness, it also bore vileness at the same time.
