Chapter 32 (2/2)

Seeing that Sue was so stubborn, the special assistant couldn’t say anything more. She turned around and called Morty’s manager.

“Mr. Lawson, I’m the special assistant of President Cantwell that you talked to before. Do you still keep your promise about the reward?” The special assistant asked carefully.

“Regarding Miss Sue’s matter, 50,000 dollars at one time. I’ll keep my promise!” The manager nodded.

“Okay, Miss Sue is sick. Her face is pale, so she just took some medicine to deal with it!” The special assistant said and then reported her bank card number before hanging up the phone.

Looking at the phone being hung up, the manager was a little speechless and complained, “Isn’t this money too easy to earn?”

“What’s wrong with Sue?” Morty, who was working at the side, suddenly appeared behind the manager.

As expected, Sue was a person he loved dearly. Whenever the word “Sue”was mentioned, Morty’s hearing would even improve!

“She’s sick!” Knowing that Morty hated being lied to the most, his manager could only tell the truth.

Then, the result was very obvious. Morty, who had always worked hard, once again skipped work!

“Mr. Morty, I have to say something. You have to understand a fact. You are very famous! So, when you go to look for Sue, please make sure you’ve all the necessary protection!” The manager said helplessly.

However, Morty chose not to listen to him. He only knew that Sue was sick!

He rushed to the sports car at the fastest speed and got into the car. The 30-minute journey was shortened by half. Then, he appeared in front of Stephen’s company.

He called Sue and wanted to ask her which floor she was on, but Sue ran straight down the stairs!

“Morty!” Seeing Sue waving at him, Morty ran over.

He stretched out his hand and turned Sue around. When he found that Sue’s face was a little pale but she was still in good spirits, his tensed heart finally relaxed.

“Little kitten, your body hasn’t fully recovered yet. You can’t work so hard!” Morty pretended to be serious and warned her.

“Got it!” Sue pouted and nodded coquettishly. Then she continued, “But after being pushed so hard by Catherine, my brother’s company seems to be in a bad shape!”
