After asking for leave, Simon changed his clothes and came out of the dressing room with his bag on his back.

Courtney was chatting with Jonathan with a shopping bag in her hand when she saw Simon coming up, smiling and stepping forward. Then she stopped, said hello to Simon shyly, followed the two men out of Griffin supermarket.

Jonathan Friedman's black Mercedes was parked on the street. They got into the car and nodded to the girl on the curb. Jonathan started the car and took Simon eastward.

Watching Jonathan's Mercedes Benz disappear around a corner with a smile, Courtney put her face away with some disappointment and felt some regret for refusing Simon's words that night.

If he didn't, maybe he would have invited himself to leave with Jonathan.

In the far away car, Jonathan glanced at the girl still standing on the side of the road in the rearview mirror as he turned. He asked Simon with a smile, ”do you like curt?”

”No,” Simon explained, shaking his head. ”Just friends.”

Jonathan kept smiling and said, ”in fact, if you like Kurt, I can make her the heroine of your movie, so you can have a chance to chase her.”

Simon thought about it and said, ”Curt is really suitable to be a heroine, but we are really just ordinary friends.”

Jonathan nodded and then said, ”Curt is not really for you.”

”So,” Simon asked, looking at his agent, without going on with the subject, ”what's the result?”

”Well,” Jonathan said, raising his chin, ”there's a nice coffee shop ahead.”

As the Mercedes Benz drove on for a long distance, Jonathan Friedman stopped and took Simon into a roadside cafe.

They sat down by the window on the street and waited for the waiter to serve coffee. Then Jonathan briefly explained Fox's new offer for Simon's play and finally asked, ”so, Simon, do you think it's ok?”

The basic film payment is doubled, and the sharing terms are reserved. Although the option contract for a script is added, Simon also knows that this contract is quite generous for him as a newcomer.

Simon shook his head and said with a smile, ”that's not necessary.”
