Chapter 468 (1/2)
Li Zitao plans to go to the hotel with joy to spend the Spring Festival together, but she refused.
”I need time to calm down.” Joey looked at him with a complicated look. It was totally out of her plan.
”Well, I'll take you home.” Joey lives on the outskirts of Los Angeles. He has a two story brick house. The lawn and yard are well managed. It seems that he has a good family background.
In the United States, the cost of brick houses and wooden houses is polarized. These days, those who can afford to live in brick houses can still live in the great depression, and their family background is very good.
”Do you need me to pick you up tomorrow?” When Joey got out of the car, Li Zitao asked in the window.
”No, Charlie. It's a mistake.” Joey put his head over his head and said, ”Oh, my God.” then he turned and walked quickly to the fence, pushed aside the half man high fence and went into the yard.
”All right.” Li Zitao said helplessly and drove on.
Now Joey's heart was in a mess, and he went to the door, ”Joey.”
The sudden sound startled her, and then the hall light turned on, and the man sitting on the porch bench came into his eyes.
”Dad, you scared me to death.” Joey took a long breath on his chest, his eyes a little dodgy.
”I've been waiting for you. What's going on?” Asked Earl gandega.
”It's OK. The school is delayed.” Joey looked around and opened the door and said, ”I'm sleepy, Dad. Go to bed first.”
”... good night.” Looking at his daughter's figure disappearing into the room, Earl looked at the street lamp not far away, where Li Zitao's car had previously been parked.
On his left hand side, on the bench, was a newspaper dated June 6.
On the page, there are two slightly blurred head photos. Below is a beach. It seems that some activities are being held on it. It is very lively.
Joey didn't know anything about her father's recognition of Charlie, because she only thought Charlie was a rich second generation until now.
After a good sleep, Joey wakes up in the morning on time.
Thinking of what happened last night, Joey rubbed her hair around and made herself crazy.
How did it happen? Why did they suddenly embrace each other...
”Gee, he is still a student.” Joey patted her forehead out of bed, put on her shoes and headed for the kitchen. She needed to calm down.
Finding ice in the fridge, Joey picks up two pieces and throws them into his mouth. He crunches them.
”Honey, are you ok?” Asked Madame gandega, who was preparing breakfast, looking at her strangely.
”It's OK. I'm too hot.” Joey said casually.
”Your father said it was a strange boy who sent you back last night. It was very late.” Said Madame gandega, jokingly.
”Oh, can we change the subject, mom?” Joy leaned back against the refrigerator, feeling drained of strength.
It's embarrassing for her to have such a thing with her students. It's terrible to be seen by her parents.
”OK... When will you invite him to dinner?” Madame gandega laughed.
