This is not the first time big girl is making pineapple pie with Barker.
After Li Zitao gave Barker to Wang Dagou, the woman lived in a single room beside the manor. Daniao was her only friend.
”Decide when to meet... Norma, Norma, right?” Big girl, speaking English with a serious accent, asked Barker next to her.
”I don't know. I'm not sure if I'm going to go back to her life. She's living very well now, much better than when she was with me.”
Gladys Barker is a little sad. Whenever she gets the news from Norma, she has a complex feeling of both comfort and helplessness.

”I'm sorry. I'll excuse you first.” Beckoning Dan to greet the guests, Li Zitao and Hogg return to the room, ”when is the news?”
”Ten minutes ago, it was time for her to get to Los Angeles by train on her way to central station.” Said Hogg calmly.
