The dazzling sun rose from the east. The morning sunlight shone down on the body and warmed it, dispersing the darkness and humidity. From afar, they could see the people coming and going like little black dots, creating a bustling atmosphere.
Ge Yan finally had a feeling that he was alive, he even thought that everything that happened last night was just an illusion. In fact, he was even holding onto a bottle of soy sauce as he hailed a taxi by the side of the road.
Ge Yan sighed in his heart, but when he saw the man's figure, he suddenly fell back into reality. It was as if someone had smashed his head against him, causing him to recall a fact he wasn't willing to face. From today onwards, he would forever lose his freedom.
He had never seen such a servant, panting to death with just a few steps. The servants of other families all followed their master's steps, while his servants, on the other hand, occasionally stopped to wait for him, as if they were walking a dog, and the man couldn't help but wonder if it was the right decision to agree to let him be their servant.
If Ge Yan knew what he was thinking, he would have gone crazy. You're a dog, you're a f * cking family dog, he also wanted to leave faster, but this body of his was already injured to begin with, and he almost vomited blood.
Ge Yan walked for half a day before he was finally walked to the entrance of the town by the brutal master. He was so tired that he anxiously found a rock to sit on, and waved his hands at the man: ”I can't take it anymore, I need to rest for a while.”
Just as he finished his sentence, the surroundings suddenly quietened down. It was as if someone had suddenly pressed the 'pause' button in the market. The surroundings became so quiet that only the sound of his breathing could be heard.
Ge Yan raised his head and was shocked, only to see that all the people who were waiting in line to enter the town, as well as the scattered people who were walking in from the back, had all looked at him, a mixed emotion appearing on their faces. There was shock, there was doubt, there was surprise, there was curiosity, and there was a sly smile that could not be described with words?
Before he could figure out what the hell was this, everyone retracted their strange gazes, but there were still some people who kept looking at him from time to time, and some people who knew him were whispering to each other. Although they did not point at him, Ge Yan felt uncomfortable under their gazes, as though he was an object in their eyes, they looked at him with gazes that seemed to be examining and commenting on him.
This feeling didn't diminish with time, especially after the man told him he was going into the town.
The two soldiers stared at him with a more obvious expression than the others. Fortunately, they were more surprised, so they did not make things difficult for them. They paid the entrance fee and let them in.
