Gu Zheng missed.

Wu Chuan's body was weak as he was lifted up by someone, falling into a warm chest. The tip of his nose was filled with his clear and cold smell, this smell was very familiar, it made her tense and long nerves loosen a lot, making her feel at ease.

Fortunately, he was here.

Wei Yi lowered his head. Upon seeing her increasingly odd expression, his brows knitted even tighter. His heart ached as he pressed it against her forehead. He could not help but console her, ”Endure it a little longer.”

His voice was still trembling slightly.

The chaos in Wu Chuan's mind was unclear as he subconsciously nodded his head. His small face was pressed into Wei Yi's embrace as he lightly nodded his head. His movements were not big, but Wei Yi could see everything clearly.

This scene caused Gu Zheng's eyes to sting.

Gu Zheng blocked the door as he walked out with his sword and faced Wei Yi head-on. He had completely forgotten that this was the other party's territory and his voice pierced into the other's spine, ”I thought you would be able to protect her, but I overestimated you. Wei Yi, since you can't protect her and even almost caused her to encounter trouble right under your nose, do you think I will still let you take her away? ”

”Out of the way!”

Wei Yi spat out these two words in a depressing manner, but he was unable to refute them. His brows were still knitted tightly together as his condition didn't allow for him to delay too much.

”No, don't think about taking her away today.” Gu Zheng had steeled his heart as well. Today, the person who would bring her away, no matter what, could only be him!

”Out of the way!” Wei Yi still spoke the same sentence, his voice even colder and colder.

Gu Zheng, however, did not move an inch.

Due to being drugged, Wu Chuan's breath was burning hot, the heat waves in his body gradually rose, his consciousness gradually became unclear, and he could only hear the two people beside his ear that he didn't want him to talk to. His mind was in chaos.

Wei Yi carefully embraced her as he tried to protect her while avoiding Gu Zheng's entanglement.

Wei Yi put her down and reached out to stroke the hair sticking to the corner of her mouth. He placed the hairpin that was about to fall off right in front of her and pulled down the hand that was currently tugging at his collar. His gaze was filled with gentleness as he said, ”Don't move. Listen to me.”

With that, he struck out with his palm.

For a moment, the two of them were stuck in a tight space as Wei Yi led Gu Zheng out of the house.

The two of them started fighting without a care outside the house.

Gu Zheng retracted the sword that he had been preparing for years, turned around, and stabbed towards Wei Yi once more.
