Chapter 53 (1/2)

At the border of the swamp wetland in the southern part of the Immecca Horde, the monsters were Level 2 2-Star Two-Claw Mermen. They were very suitable for players around Level 17 to 19 who wanted to level up. The main reason was that the Two-Claw Mermen there were in groups. When they respawned, they were basically in groups of five or six. Now that he had a party, Fatty took everyone there.

Many players were leveling up there. After Fatty and the rest found a spawn point, they started waiting.

Actually, entering the dungeon would be the best option if it was just to solely take Luo Luo along. However, Fatty knew that there were restrictions on a player’s level in the novice dungeon of the Bandit Camp. After completing one dungeon round and reaching Level 18, they probably wouldn’t be able to enter anymore. Therefore, he would rather farm monsters in the wild.

Due to the lower level of the Two-Claw Mermen, they didn’t have any special attack techniques. Instead, they attacked monsters at will. With Fated Sky tanking, it was very easy to kill monsters.

Luo Moling had initially thought that they were there for little Luo Luo. However, after they started farming the monsters, she realized that they were actually there for Fatty!

Why was that?

The Two-Claw Mermen had 360 HP. As Fated Sky tanked them, Crayon Knife waited for an opportunity to attack. Luo Moling also had her own Flaming Imp releasing flame arrows in the distance, so they basically didn’t need much time to kill a monster. As a result, Fatty was too lazy to even release his Miasma to poison the Two-Claw Mermen. After Fated Sky chose a target, he hit the monsters with a Corrosion Skill before he waited to gain EXP without doing anything…

Fatty was even idler than little Luo Luo. At least, she would regularly stick the Healing Ward into the ground and assist Fated Sky in restoring his HP…

A Venomancer had relatively low poison damage in the early stages. When monsters were killed easily in battle, there was no use for his toxin effect. The merman would have been killed within 8 seconds if he had used his skill. Wouldn’t this have been a waste of his mana?

Therefore, Fatty had a clear conscience despite being lazy. Of course, it was boring. Thus, he would rather roam around and gather the nearby Snake Spit Grass. He could gain EXP as long as he didn’t go out of range.

The Snake Spit Grass was very sparse, but Fatty still found two spawn points. After picking them up, he ran back again.

Such a medicinal herb usually respawned every 30 minutes. However, it might not necessarily respawn at the original location and might shift a little instead. Fortunately, according to the crafting formula of the Slowdown Poison, each concoction only required one Snake Spit Grass. Hence, Fatty wasn’t in a hurry and he slowly waited for it to respawn.

Crayon Knife found his behavior somewhat strange, so he asked, “Brother Chicken, didn’t you learn to forge? Why are you picking herbs?”

“I’m not!” answered Fatty. “This is a Venomancer’s Poison Crafting Skill. Oh, that’s right. Have you learned the Venom Skill?”

“Not yet! I wasn’t able to get the Skill Book!” Crayon Knife replied. “I went to the market today, but I only bought the Unlock Skill…”

“Huh? You’ve learned the Unlock Skill?” Fatty asked in amazement.

“It’s a Level 15 Skill Book!” Crayon Knife said with a smile. “A Berserker player was selling it, and I bought it for 5 Silver Coins!”

“5 Silver Coins?” Fatty was even more amazed. “Damn, you sure are lucky!”

“Why?” While Fated Sky was killing the monsters, he asked, “Why did you say that he’s lucky?”

“The player who sold him that Skill Book definitely doesn’t know the market!” Fatty said. “The Unlock Skill is a very important skill for the Thief, and the drop rate is very low. Isn’t he lucky he bought it for 5 Silver Coins?”

Only a Thief who learned the Unlock Skill could open the treasure chests that spawned in the game and obtain the items inside. Fatty still remembered, even after four years, that the Unlock Skill could be sold for more than 2 Gold Coins in the game. Theoretically, its price should be around 20 Silver Coins in the early stage of the game. Now that Crayon Knife had bought it for 5 Silver Coins, he had really earned it.

That Berserker player probably didn’t know that. Now that the game hadn’t been open for two days, it was hard to estimate the price of many things. That player might have seen that the Unlock Skill was only a Level 15 skill and wasn’t offensive and thus sold it to Crayon Knife at such a low price. If he later found out that the drop rate of the Unlock Skill was very low, he might regret it.

Of course, only Fatty probably knew that. Crayon Knife and the rest were not aware of it.

At this thought, Fatty suddenly wondered if he should collect some items that would increase in price in the future. Then, he would become rich when he sold them!

However, when Fatty started recalling the past excitedly to decide which items were going to increase in price in the future, he suddenly realized that there was nothing worth collecting at the moment.
