Chapter 144 Uncouth Maou Mia (1/2)
Chapter 144 – Uncouth Maou Mia
When Mia was still fiddling with his status and game menu, Shurka returned. She hugged him from behind and sobbed.
”I thought you had abandoned me.”
Indifferent, Mia harrumphed, ”Idiot. One hour in the real world is one day over here. It took me a couple of hours longer than I expected. That's all.”
”Where is your grandmother? Didn't she come back with you?”
”Nah, only me.”
Mia patted Shurka's head and continued arranging his items in his inventory.
”Hey, stop working and look at me.”
”Not now, Shurka. I'm busy. I need to sort things and prepare for a long grinding session.”
”Grinding? Are you going out to farm diamonds again?”
”Yeah. I need more diamonds.”
”Can't you just buy it using your cash?”
”A million MWD for one diamond, Shurka. They're expensive.”
”…”
Shurka felt bad for relying on Mia. She also wanted to help.
”Is there anything I can do to help? I meant, how can I obtain some diamonds?”
”You can buy them from the markets, but it's too expensive right now. BTW, do you have enough gels on you?”
”I have plenty! Do you need some?”
”How many do you have?”
”Uh, 15 yellow gels and 200 green gels. Are you hungry? Do you want some?”
”…”
Shurka had fewer gels in her possession than Mia had expected. It seemed that her mechanic job had less salary than the guys in the expedition forces.
Mia gave Shurka a thousand of his red gels, ”Eat these. If you're lucky, you'll learn a skill or two. Share some of it with Mii. Don't use them to buy diamonds.”
”R-Red gels!? Aren't these expensive!?”
”Yeah. But just take it. I have more in my inventory. Eat some of it to increase your max VIT and STM. It helps.”
”O-Okay.”
.
After sorting everything out with Shurka, Mia visited Sebastian's office, checking if there was something new. However, Sebastian was not there.
His secretary told Mia that today, a group of humans and dragonewts from Mafdet City visited them. Furthermore, they were not just ordinary humans.
They were players.
They came here to deliver a proposition, negotiating for a truce for Mafdet City and Shelter 88. At the moment, everyone was in a meeting.
Realizing that players had arrived, Mia wanted to see them. When Mia arrived at the meeting room, Sebastian, Crystal, and the visitors were there.
The leader of this negotiator was one of the top combat class rankers, DaVinci. He was also one of Dove's former teammates who suggested to violate Misha during their early days, but he was killed by Dove.
Two of his entourage were players while the other ten was his bodyguards. Oddly enough, all of his bodyguards were dragonewts.
When DaVinci saw Mia, he laughed, ”Mia Uriel, is that you?”
Mia frowned. He did not like it when someone called him by his real name in-game, ”Who are you?”
”I'm your classmate, Collin. Heck, I sat behind you in class! Where have you been? I heard you transfer school, right?”
”Yeah, why are you here, then?”
”Why so serious? Hey, are you a big-shot here? These people don't seem to stop you from entering the meeting. I see that you're a mutant now. What's your level?”
”I'm the castellan here. These people are my subordinates. Get to the point, what you are doing here? I'm a busy person.”
”Whoa, whoa, whoa. Chill, mate. I've come in peace. My boss told me to form an alliance with you people.”
”Who is your boss? If I remember correctly, Carlos is already dead. Who is your leader now?”
”Dude, are you an interrogator and I'm a prisoner? This is not the right tone to say in a negotiation, man.”
Mia smiled and created ten lightning balls around himself.
”You have ten seconds to confess everything before I turn every single of you into charcoal.”
The dragonewt bodyguards stood up and prepared to fight, while the two other players still looked at Mia with a shocked expression.
Sebastian and Crystal did not say anything. Crystal took out her weapon, and Sebastian transformed into a black knight, getting ready for a fight.
Both mutants did not like these visitors from the very beginning, so they did not disapprove of Mia's rash action. Instead, they liked how Mia had threatened them.
However, DaVinci was calmer than everyone had expected. He still sat on his seat and raised both hands above his head.
