Chapter 371 - He Would Be a Big Shot Someday! (1/2)
As the invigilator called, Fang Qiu stepped forward and entered the No. 1 exam room.
From the outside, the windows of the classroom had been sealed up so tightly that the situation inside could not be seen at all. But after entering the classroom, Fang Qiu found that the room was unusually bright.
It was not about the lights.
It was because a window on the other side of the room which faced the drain wasn’t covered.
An old man was sitting at the only table in the middle of the room.
Taking a closer look, Fang Qiu found that the old man had white hair and a ruddy complexion, looking hale and hearty.
“Are you Fang Qiu?”
As Fang Qiu watched the old man, he also looked back at Fang Qiu with interest.
“Yes.” Fang Qiu nodded.
Just now, the invigilator outside the classroom had called his name, so it was not surprising that the old man knew his name.
“Not bad, kid.” The old man nodded his head in satisfaction. “It’s been a long time since a young fellow like you has risen in Chinese Medicine. And it’s also been a long time since the TCM has experienced such turmoil and attention. I want to thank you for all you have done for the Chinese Medicine community. Because of you, I feel that there is hope for Chinese Medicine.
“Hopefully, there will be more like you.
“We’re are old, and young people like you have the future. And the future of Chinese Medicine depends on you.”
Hearing that, Fang Qiu saluted the old man. “Master.” An idea came to him.
If the old could say such words, it would only mean that he had practiced Chinese Medicine for many years. Whether judging from the age or the medical experience, Fang Qiu should call him “Master”.
“Hmm.” The old man smiled and nodded, satisfied with the reaction of Fang Qiu.
“Well, time is limited. Let’s cut to the chase.” With that, the old man put his hand on the table and said, “Come and help me have a look.”
Without any hesitation, Fang Qiu moved forward.
After diagnosing, Fang Qiu smiled and said, “Master, you’re in good health, but your lungs are a bit weak. You should have more rest.”
He quickly wrote down his judgments and prescriptions on the exam paper on the table.
“Well, you can leave now.” When he saw what Fang Qiu had written, the old man smiled, nodded with satisfaction, and asked him to leave.
Meanwhile, as he carefully considered Fang Qiu’s proposal, Chen Yinsheng convened a meeting with the deans of all faculties to discuss it.
Perhaps it was because the matter that Qi had been proved to be real went viral recently, the deans all agreed with Fang Qiu’s suggestion.
By doing this, they felt that not only would it be able to improve the medical standards of the students, but it would also be able to make the school become one of the most prestigious TCM schools in the country, which taught Chinese Medicine.
It would become the only school where people could practice Qi.
For those preparing to take the college entrance examination and major in Traditional Chinese Medicine, it would be a strong temptation.
There was no doubt that Fang Qiu’s proposal was adopted by all the deans.
The exam continued.
At 9:50 a.m, the examination of the first round was finished.
The first group, where Fang Qiu was in, needed to go to the second examination room to continue the examination.
When it was his turn, Fang Qiu entered the examination room.
In the classroom, there was also an old gentleman.
This old man was different from the old man in the examination room No. 1. He didn’t speak but directly let Fang Qiu diagnose. While Fang Qiu was diagnosing, he had been looking at him with eyes full of satisfaction and then nodding.
Another 50 minutes passed. It was 10:40 a.m.
The three groups changed the exam rooms again.
In the third examination room, an old gentleman was also sitting there.
This old gentleman was much older than those in the other two exam rooms.
Although he had long grey hair, he combed it neatly, which made him look nothing like a messy old man at all. Instead, he made people feel comfortable as they looked at him.
Fang Qiu got into the classroom and sat down in front of the table.
The old man didn’t speak and then calmly extended his hand to Fang Qiu.
Fang Qiu didn’t hesitate and instantly felt the old man’s pulse.
After feeling the pulse, he looked at the old man and said, “Master, the cold in your body is intense.”
“Yes.” The old man nodded and said, “In the early years, I was wrapped up in treating more patients, so I accidentally got the cold which has been in my body for many years.”
“Master, if you don’t mind, I can help you eliminate the cold,” Fang Qiu said.
“Oh?” The old man paused for a second and then replied, “Sure.”
Fang Qiu then held the old man’s wrist at once.
The Internal Qi flowed from Fang Qiu’s fingertips, injecting into the old man’s body and starting to eliminate his cold.
“Eh?” As if sensing something, the old man was surprised and said, “This is Qi, right? It feels good.”
“Many Chinese doctors know Qi and the theories, but very few can feel the existence of Qi, let alone using it to cure diseases.”
Speaking of which, the old man smiled at Fang Qiu and nodded his head. “A ragged colt may make a good horse.”
Fang Qiu smiled and continued to eliminate the cold.
After finishing eliminating the cold, he wrote down his diagnosis and prescriptions.
In the meantime, the old man, who had been staring at Fang Qiu, suddenly opened his mouth and asked, “Who is your master?”
“I don’t have a master.” Fang Qiu shook his head and added, “But I have a teacher. His name is Xu Miaolin.”
“Oh.” The old man paused and then beamed. “You both are intelligent. Give him my regards. I’m Ye Jiuling.”
“Got it.” Fang Qiu nodded and got up. He saluted the old man and left the room.
