122 The Second Round (1/2)
On the left side, the New Era academy's students stood side by side. On the opposite side, the Monster Haven team stood facing them.
Monster Haven's team consisted of four females and one male student on all four stages. It was clear that there was a larger ratio of female breeders compared to male breeders.
As the monsters were summoned. New Era's team mainly composed of the metal and earth element with a balanced team of both offense and support.
As for Monster Haven, all five monsters were barely over Level 25, however, all five monsters were of the Epic grade!
It seemed like this year's breeders were more talented than the previous years. Only the fourth year class had one Epic grade monster, while the remaining were all Rare grade. Not only did they have higher grades, but the species and types of monsters they had were also more unique than the other teams'.
Unfortunately, no humanoid monster was seen from either team. Wang Tao suddenly recalled a memory that popped up in his mind. Tang Yaling who had been their teammate last year had gone to Heaven's Gate which meant that she was here too.
He looked around for a bit and noticed her sitting towards the very back of her group. As he looked at her, Tang Yaling stared back at him making their eyes meet.
Back onto the stage, just by looking at the difference in grades, it was even easier to tell that the Monster Haven team would win compared to the battle between Black Cloud and Dixuan.
Just as the two brothers predicted, Monster Haven's team made short work of New Era, winning 4-1, claiming their position at fifth place.
Now that fifth and sixth place were determined. Finally, the battle between Nine Peaks and the Battle Temple would begin.
Ye Qin's team got up and appeared on the stage without needing to walk down. Ye Qin had used the Yinglong's power to teleport all five of them down the field. He had now exposed that his monster controls the Space element to all the academies.
”Hoh, a Space element, the kid will do good things.” the headmaster of the War God Academy spoke.
”Hah, you haven't seen anything yet.” Nine Peak's headmaster replied.
”Oh? Then I will look forward to the performance of your kids, I heard three of them were invited to my place last year but rejected. Let's see how they do.” the War God headmaster said.
”Anyone want to make bets? It'll be 1:100.” the headmaster then said between the other headmasters.
”1:100? Count me in!” the headmaster of Black Cloud university who had placed tenth again who was sullen suddenly lit up with a burning will.
”Me too!”
”Same here!”
Suddenly, the headmaster's space became rowdy as they all started betting amongst themselves.

The students of the Battle Temple came up the stage. In front of them, all five men from the opposing side were bald.
”...”
”Are you guys an actual temple now? Or are you cosplaying a certain hero for fun?” Wang Tao couldn't help but remark.
The five 'monks' of the other team didn't reply. Instead, a visible vein popped and clearly showed their anger on their foreheads, while their eyes looked as though they were on fire.
The five of them summoned all their monsters at the same time.
