22 RNG: Texan In Another World - V2.9 - Reunion and Remodel (1/2)
Mike spent a lot of time within the football-shaped root. The fundamental differences in his body would make him completely Alien to what he considered Human before he arrived in the World. Mike's nature led him to an early grave, depending on how you looked at his fate. The man known as Mike was, no longer existed. His very scent would change.
His thoughts and memories were the biggest part, the most of what remained from his original self. Everything had been altered keyed to accept most needs, keeping the body in better state to take their power. To destroy his mortal coil would have killed him, but to remodel it was nothing for the combined efforts of the from the Titans. The change of his body had some odd effects, not even the Titans knew exactly what would happen in their endeavor when they began.
The Titans were at the pinnacle of all pinnacles during each of their reigns, It wasn't until they each chose the same fate and passed on to something else that their remains and legacies were left behind. Mike had taken all of their inheritances, it was unprecedented and beyond the norm.
While Mike was somehow a Titan, he was a Human before he was ever anything else. The Five Titans he had inherited a legacy from were of different species. Their contributions equally terrifying when put into action. There was no telling which direction the powers would contribute or even what period of his growth they would begin to manifest even if at all. No Titan had been given a legacy, they had only been won through combat. Mike's choice to join them was something they hadn't expected, and it gave them a purpose. As the last of the Titans, they were the only ones that could.
Mike learned that he could not allow anyone to destroy the alter. What he thought was an arena, was a monument to their power. Its secrets, along with the contents on or in the remains would be his material gain. The changes in his body would be his physical gain, and the Memories he would eventually call upon were the gift to his soul.
The Fourth of the Titans had been a Poocha, Mike relived the memories of running with the pack. The taste of his first official hunt's blood on his lips and sweet taste of meat.. Mike suddenly felt like he understood the Girls a bit more than before. Perhaps it was a primal instinct of the Titan inside him, or perhaps it was the memories he was consuming at an ever-growing pace, but Mike felt moved the more he thought about them. Their willingness to remain at his side even after being freed only showed value and trust. Mike was their Alpha.
The First Titan was a Terina, and they were immune to vacuum environments. They didn't require breathing for extremely long periods of time. Born in Space, they would pick their choice of Worlds. The greatest of their kind became know as the First Titan. After arriving on this planet, he left a few times to exterminate the rest of his kind in an act of vengeance for his fallen lover.
The Second was an Otera, His treasure seeking abilities were called legendary.
The Third was born with a third eye. As a Divent his perception abilities were among the most elite. He had a Seventh Sense, a sort of recollection of the Future.
The Fifth was a bit of a Rage Monster. Much like a wild Demon, her clan went to war. Maxine was led to the Titan's Throne eventually like the others. Her Berserker Skills earned her the title of Death from Above, A 'High Angle Hellion'.
Centuries later she decided that she had grown tired of this world and just like her, one day it would also come to be Mike's resting place.
When the time came he could rest his mortal coil and move on, to something else leaving behind his own legacy in the process. Mike was still not living in the moment of his own death, He let the scope of the process wash over him and didn't think about it. He only observed and did his best to remember it all. There was only the one chance to get it right, Mike refused to come out underdeveloped or unfamiliar and forsake the chance he was being given.
It was unique.
From what the Titan's said, It would be an eternity of his choosing; It could be 100 years, or One Hundred Thousand. Mike's only limitation was his energy levels and present age, when compared to the Titans Mike was just an infant, barely out of the womb.
When the Five Titans had finished dumping whatever they wanted or could fit into Mike's small body, Mike could suddenly smell again. The stench of a dry air filled his nostrils, the Five Titans skeletons had started to crumble to pieces.
Mike was still encased inside of the Rootball, the energy pulsation had only quickened and he wasn't even released. The Titans were gone, their last action was to enact the changes final push.
Mike had originally been led to believe it would be a thousand years, but the more he thought about it the less it made sense. Mike never once heard that the process would take a thousand years, He had only heard that it would take a thousand years to surpass them.
A splintering of the Rootball got March in a huff and she pulled on the string attached to the bell outside of the hole. Mona had found a way not to abandon him when there was sign of a change. March rang Mona's bell a few dozen times to be sure before she could hear rushing footsteps. The girls had all come, It was well past closing for the Casino.
As they stood in the darkened Throne Room, Mikes arms were finally freed. The faces of Vella and the Poocha Troop had made twitching sensations as the roots broke free and fell to the ground. A bright green pulsation had made everyone shield their eyes. When mike finally opened his, he couldn't speak. It had been 5 months, five months of doing nothing. His body should have been in agony, dystrophied and thin. What he found was a new strength he hadn't had before. Mike quietly flexed his hands and let his eyes adjust to the surroundings. It was the first time his new body was seeing, there was little else to do than get acclimated.
”Girls?” Mike called out to see if someone was around before his eyes cleared entirely.
”We're here.” The girls started to cry, Mike could feel the tears falling against his skin.
The weeping women were clinging to Mike like they never had before, He had been taken away and they were unable to determine if they would ever see him again.
Mike couldn't really make out the room, so he cast a light spell on the Alter. The Alter became a bright surface in the dark room, lighting up every corner. The still crumbling skeletons were turning to dust with every moment, Mike had some quick thinking and started to store them all in his ring. Mike placed his hands on the thrones and discovered something else. Inside each of the thrones were a few special items. Inside the thrones were a Book, Kite, large purple Crystal, a small blue and brown Marble, and a pair of Gloves.
The book explained what the items did, So mike didn't worry too much about figuring it out at that exact moment. He still had the girls who he hadn't responded to much since his awakening. Mike stored all the items into his ring and looked to Vella.
Vella wasn't sure what was going to happen, she was the cause of his five month nap, his death, and now she was here. She was at his rebirth.
Mike thought about the words she had spoken to him when she first came to life.
