Chapter 13: My status was being looked down!
The Bai family head and the Bai family mistress were startled by Lu Feng’s sudden entry, before they had the chance to reply, Lu Feng worriedly continued, “Is what Miss Xia said about not living past 16 true?”
When the Bai mistress heard this, she continued sobbing. The Bai family head helplessly said, ”It’s true.” Lu Feng didn’t understand what disease Bai Yue had. Even the Bai Family were helpless thus making him ask about it. The Bai family head reluctantly explained, “When she was born she was completely covered in black spots and also she was in a coma for days on end. Then your master arrived, the Living Lmmortal helped her wake up but the black spots all concentrated in the palm of her right hand.”
Lu Feng was shocked, “Then was it my master who said she wouldn’t live past sixteen?” The Bai family head made an En sound in agreement, “Correct, your master had also said that before the time she turned sixteen, she must seek him. That is why recently I went to visit your master and he told me the solution would be delivered.”
Lu Feng then realised how to console them, “Don’t be worried, I will return to find Master and ask him about it.” After saying this sentence, Lu Feng urgently left without making any stops on the way back. The Bai mistress looked anxiously at the Bai family head, “The patriarch said you can’t rely on him to solve Yue’ers problem.”
The Bai family head sighed, “Fifteen years ago, the Living Immortal said he was thinking of a cure. To go so far as giving the prescription then he should have already figured it out, we can only wait.” The Bai mistress fervently nodded her head and wiped her tears away.
As for Lu Feng, he spent an hour travelling back to Immortal Cloud Mountain. At the time, the Old Man was still sleeping atop the stone bed. Lu Feng opened the door and shouted, “Old man, Old man!” The Old man was still sleeping and violently leaped up, “You d.a.m.n b.a.s.t.a.r.d, when I finally managed to take a nap then you run along and disturb me.”
Lu Feng stared at the Old Man, “You were the one who arranged for me to go to the Bai family, telling them that Miss Bai’s sickness can be cured. Yet what is this that’s happening now?” The Old Man stretched and laughed, “What? Only now do you decide to ask?”
Last time, Lu Feng only thought the Old Man sent him to be married in accordance to Bai Yue’s three marriage conditions. He thought Bai Yue wanted to have a fake marriage, maybe due to some predicament she was in that was why he did not ask. Now that he had learned the truth today, he couldn’t hold it in anymore.
While staring anxiously at the Old Man, “Don’t talk nonsense just quickly say what the problem is.” The Old stroked his beard while smiling, “I presume someone from the Bai family told you about this.”
Lu Feng made an En sound then the Old Man giggled, “The cure is right here with you, ah.” Lu Feng frowned, “The cure? What are you talking about?” The Old Man said in a low voice, “Your wedding with her, is already sufficient.”
Lu Feng continued staring, “What are you going on about, ah.” When the Old Man saw that Lu Feng hadn’t yet realised, he angrily stroked his beard, “What I’m talking about is when you two are in the bridal chamber, then it can be solved.” Lu Feng wondered, “Why is it that only in the bridal chamber that it can be solved?”
The Old Man explained, “She has an heavenly extreme Yin const.i.tution, which can absorb Yin Qi. That is to say, when someone in Qinglong town dies or if she goes to a place with lots of Yin Qi her condition would become more serious. Towards devil cultivators, this const.i.tution is extremely good. As for normal cultivators, this const.i.tution is extremely perilous. So I used an ability to seal her Yin Qi in her right palm.”
Lu Feng didn’t expect this world to have strange types of const.i.tutions, he then asked, “Then what happens next?“. The Old man stared at him, “Of course this seal can only hold for sixteen years, that is why I asked them to find me a year before that happens. Because this was the year when the seal is at it’s weakest.”
Lu Feng quickly said, “Then why not seal it again.” The Old man furiously replied, “If that was possible then I would have already done it.” Lu Feng was puzzled, “Why can’t you?” The Old man sighed, “I can only do this seal once, if I do it again then her body would be worthless, therefore it’s a dead end.”
Lu Feng was startled, “Then you are telling me to have babies with her, but how would that help?” The old man then explained, “There is another way to cure her, which is to let a male’s Yang Qi enter the body.This enables the seal to continue working, you should understand by now.”
Lu Feng suddenly realized, “So what you needed was a male to help her.” The Old Man smirked, “So you aren’t actually that stupid.” Lu Feng was mad, “This is seriously a stupid method, ah.” The Old Man saw that not only was Lu Feng not happy, he instead scolded him, ”You d.a.m.n rascal, this Master already gave you this opportunity, yet you still haven’t thanked me. Believe it or not I’ll go tell the Bai family and tell them to find another guy.”
Lu Feng calmly replied, “Old man, I did not mean it in that way. Although me and Miss Bai are married but she…”
“She doesn’t see me as her husband.”
Lu Feng lowered his head resembling a little chick pecking at rice. This made the Old Man smile, “That is your problem, I can’t be bothered to care.” When Lu Feng heard the Old Man’s remark, he was fighting the urge to grab the Old Man’s head a couple of times. The Old Man followed his routine and took out his little book then smiled wryly, “Great, I’ve already said what I wanted to. The rest is up to you, though you should hurry since time is running out. If I didn’t count wrongly, there should be half a year left.”
Lu Feng helplessly looked at the Old Man’s back before going back to the Bai household. In his mind, he was trying to think of a way to convince Bai Yue. Except he wasn’t that type of person, he would make Bai Yue slowly fall in love with him, then it would be justifiable to do that sort of ‘thing’.
