They walked to the main climbing route. It was a Sat.u.r.day afternoon so many tourists were admiring the maple trees. Tourists could be seen everywhere. There were couples holding hands and climbing up the mountain while chatting and smiling at each other.

“Let’s hold hands too.” Xia Jinyuan stretched his hand out when he saw the fourth couple walking past them. He smiled and said to Ye Jian, “Shall we climb up the mountain together?”

He just stretched his hand out. He didn’t hold Ye Jian’s hand directly.

The tips of her fingers trembled slightly. Then, she lifted her left hand and placed it on his slender and strong palm. She didn’t look at Xia Jinyuan’s face. Instead, she hurriedly s.h.i.+fted her gaze to the peak of the mountain. “It takes at least an hour to climb up. Do you have time?”

“Time, we have a lot of time. One hour is our time too.” Xia Jinyuan immediately held her hand when she placed it on his palm. He held it tightly. “Our time is still aplenty.”

This was the first time they held hands openly in public. This was the first time she stood under the sunlight and held a man’s hand.
