Chapter 25 - Ke Zhen Was Alive (2/2)
Oh, look, Chen just knew they were doing something. Chen reacted coldly, “No.” He just decided to pretend not knowing his meaning and see what the hell he could say.
Out of Chen’s surprise, Zou did bring a breaking news, “I am Ke Zhen.”
Chen was shocked.
Zou rolled eyes at Chen, and said disdainfully, “So silly that I thought you could at least have some telepathy.”
Chen was still astounded.
“Don’t put on such a stupid look out of my face.” Zhen pinched Chen’s cheek and stretched, “Change it.”
Chen slapped away his hands away and rubbed his face. At least that was the face Zhen had spent a fortune to maintain, Zhen would definitely never apply too much force. However, it was too fine that there were still two strikes of red marks left by his pinch. Zhen stared at the two red marks for a while before he reached out suddenly to have a touch on Chen’s face, and then he frowned, “How comes it’s so rough? Do you usually never apply any cream on your face?”
“No. I’m a man. What cream do I need to apply?”
“Shit! Please just have a look of yourself. Which part of you looks like a man? So it’s not your face that you’re not gonna cherish it, yeah?”
“Cut the crap.” Chen looked back nervously, then dragged Zhen a few steps away, and asked in a low voice, “What the fucking had happened? How did you live in this body?”
Zhen got rid of his hand angrily, but still kept his voice down cooperatively. He said as if gnashing his teeth, “All your fault. If you hadn’t taken a cab chasing after me that hard, I wouldn’t have told my friend to drive so fast to get rid of you!”
On a second thought, Chen thought he was actually right. Although he was chasing so closely intending to catch him cheating, it was other’s business after all. Not to mention that Zhen was not Liang’s lover, even if it was the case, the thing that Zhen got out of the bar and got on another man’s car had totally nothing to do with him.
“I’m sorry.” Chen apologized shamefacedly. Then his voice was even weaker, “That, that man you were with at that time was really your friend?”
“Yes, he’s my college classmate!”
“Oh, oh.” Chen touched his nose awkwardly, paused for a moment, and then apologized again, “I’m sorry.”
“Oh, forget it. It’s all happened. Nothing can change it already.” Zhen took a look at him and kicked away the pebble around his feet. “In fact, it turned out a good thing. In this way, Bo’s happy, and my brother too. I only feel sympathy for the master of this body.”
Chen wasn’t really sure Bo was happy about all this, though it was for Xun Zhen judging from the intimacy he just showed with Ke Zhen outside the door. Xun Zhen just kissed Ke Zhen, and Ke Zhen said he was being pervert. Chen supposed their relationship was quite good for being able to make such kind of a joke.
Chen had had too much sex recently that he felt tired for standing too long. So, he pulled Ke Zhen to sit on the rattan chair aside and asked him a little nervously, “What happened to that Yi Zou? How could you …” Chen stopped, trying to describing it with gestures in front of him.
Zhen understood what he meant and said, “I don’t know, either. I don’t even know him.”
Chen remembered that he was a little distracted after he had just woken up.
“But I found something on him.” Seeing Chen absent-minded, Zhen elbowed him and pulled out a red rope from the collar of his T-shirt. A green rectangular token was dangling from it.
Chen was surprised, “I also have one of this.”
“I know you do, and so do I.” Zhen stuffed the token back into his collar safely. “So I was thinking it probably has something to do with this.”
Chen stared into Zhen’s eyes. “How do you know I also have one?”
Zhen got distracted for a while because he didn’t expect Chen’s attention would focus on this. Rarely, Chen figured out the timeline quickly this time, “I remember it very well because that one of mine was hit onto the ground broken by a guy on bike on the day of my mid-term exam in my second year of high school. And the first time I met you was outside the bar when it was already in summer vacation.” Recalling up the guy who broke his token, Chen now felt much more familiar with the face in front of him.
Ke Zhen turned silent.
Chen temporarily let go of that guy, and switched to look at Zhen again. Suddenly it occurred to him, “Are you stalking me?”
Zhen, “Well, you really you’re something, huh!”
Chen, “Then explain it.”
Zhen, “What do I need to explain to you?”
Chen, “Then you must have been stalking me, and spying on me!”
Ke Zhen was made angry and speechless.
But Chen had begun to look at him with strange eyes. Zhen couldn’t stand it anymore so he pulled his rattan chair closer to Chen’s, “I’ll tell you if you promise not to tell any third person the contents of our conversation.”
…
In the living room on the second floor, Qing Bo and Xun Zhen stood side by side smoking in front of the full-length window.
Through the window, they had seen clearly that Ke Zhen and Shi Chen were sitting closely face to face on the rattan chairs in the courtyard. Something Zhen had said made Chen raise his hand to swear. And then they drew nearer to each other.
“Do you think Little Ke will tell him all those things of you?”
“Me?” Bo did not care for it at all. “What things of me?”
“You being the stalker.” Xun Zhen took a smoke. “I guess he would use the word.”
Bo curled up his lips’ corner slightly. In the courtyard, Chen suddenly turned his head to look in their direction, with full of shock in his eyes. Zhen must have told him something extraordinary.
“Very well.”
Perplexed, Xun Zhen turned to look at him, “What do you mean?”
Bo did not answer him. Instead, he only waved his hands a little towards Chen and smiled.
