Chapter 8 - Mistress Paying a Visit (2/2)

“For me?” Liang was puzzled, “For what of me?”

“There is nothing like an absolute secret. You certainly don’t want anyone to know that Ke Zhen and your uncle get divorced because of this kind of thing. What will other people think of him then?”

Liang, “I don’t care as long as you can get divorced.”

Chen, “You just keep denying it.”

Liang, “What do I deny? It has nothing to do with me how other people think of him?”

Chen had a glance at him and wished to speak but stopped on a second thought.

Liang frowned, “What exactly are you trying to say?”

“Don’t you like Ke Zhen?” Chen just threw it out. “You care so much about who he is being with. And you so much look forward to seeing him get a divorce with your uncle every day. And you care about him so much. You know he has a bad stomach and won’t let him eat cold food. Do you still remember that day I had an ice drink in KFC and then I had a stomachache? You got so nervous, with your face showing so much of worry. Liangzi, it was then that I realized that you had something on Ke Zhen …”

“Shut up.”

Chen regarded Liang only angry because his mind had been seen through, and continued boldly, “Don’t worry. This is between us. I won’t tell anyone else.” Finished with his words, Chen pushed his shoulder against him. “What are we? You don’t trust me?”

“What do I have to do with you?” Blue veins were throbbing on Liang’s forehead. “There’s nothing between us!”

“Why are you getting so angry? If I knew this, I’d rather not say it.” Chen curled his lip and whispered, “Such a big man. Never think so thin-skinned.”

“It’s you are thick-skinned!”

“Well, I am originally thick-skinned.” Smilingly, Chen tried to put his arm on Liang’s shoulder. But Liang was not happy, so he deliberately stood on tiptoe so that Chen could not reach. Not caring it too much, Chen switched to hold Liang’s waist, “All right, do not get angry. Just get the two guys upstairs off mind. Let’s go eating iced watermelon. It’s my treat.”

Liang said with a straight face, “I don’t like Ke Zhen.”

Chen, “I know I know.”

Liang, “I really don’t like him!”

Chen, “OK, ok. You don’t like him.”

Liang became even angrier, “You want to eat iced watermelon?”

Chen nodded, “Yes.”

“You wait at home. I’ll go to buy it.”

“OK.”

Liang really bought an iced watermelon home. He cut it in half and dug a spoonful in the middle of one half and gave it to Chen. Chen felt extremely flattered, “Is this really for me?” Chen thought that Liang would buy some snacks to fool him as he did last time. But he didn’t expect he would really buy an iced watermelon this time.

“Yes.”

“Liangzi, it’s very kind of you!”

Chen swallowed that spoonful of flesh of the watermelon. It was so cold and sweet. Chen was so satisfied that he almost burst into tears. He opened his mouth and waited for a second spoonful, only to see Liang throw the spoon, put the watermelon in a bag and left with it.

“Hey!” Chen was impatient. “What are you going to do?”

“To play basketball in the gym.”

Chen widened his eyes, “Then what about the watermelon?”

“Didn’t you just have a taste?”

“I just had one bite!”

“I only intended to let you have one bite.” Liang said coldly, “Don’t try to guess people’s minds next time.”

Then he left with the watermelon.

Chen was pissed off right on the spot and cried. There was simply no reason to hurt people like this!

Chen ran upstairs with full of anger and slammed on the door of the study. Huh! I’m not happy, so neither will you!

Qing Bo came to open the door and asked, “What’s the matter?”

Chen poked his head to have a look inside, but could not see where Cheng Yu was. Then he curled his lip and said something against his will, “I miss you.”

Bo, “…”

“Poof –!”

Chen stood on tiptoe and looked over Bo’s shoulder. This time he saw where the guy was. He was lying on the sofa holding his phone. It was hard to see what he was looking at. Chen threw a resentful look to him, and then plunged into Bo’s arms and clung on to his waist, “I want to be with you.”

Qing Bo touched Chen’s back with one hand and said, “I have something on hand. Wait …”

“I’ll stay over there and won’t interrupt you.” Chen looked up at him and burst into tears with no difficulty on the thought of only tasting one mouthful of the iced watermelon. “Can I?”

“Why are you crying?” Qing Bo reached out to wipe the tears around the corner of his eyes. “All right all right, come in.”
