18 Jealousy and Legends (1/2)

The afternoon passed much slower for Yu Chang, he couldn't help but feel the icy daggers that Fang Tian shot his way occasionally after returning from lunch. He wasn't sure why she was so pressed to be with him. He just saw her as a friend and fellow classmate, he had never really thought about relationships beyond that.

The afternoon dragged on and finally, the end of class came. ”That will be all for today class. Remember that starting Monday, there will be an additional class period after normal classes are over.”

Yu Chang gathered his things and started for the door. As Fang Tian approached him, the door burst open. ”Little Yu, are you ready to go?” Falling Star called out to him casually with impeccable timing. He really didn't want to face Fang Tian right now while she was in a foul mood.

”All set Master Star.” He headed to the door swiftly and walked out with Falling Star.

”How was class?”

”Rather boring. Today was mostly a review day. We have tests coming up next week so we've been reviewing recent material.”

”Do you need study time? How are your grades currently?”

”I should be fine. I'm top of the class in all subjects. I had to put in extra effort to get to this point due to my situation. I've basically been teaching myself the materials ahead of time.” The two left the school building and Falling Star brought Yu Chang back to her house.

”Put your things away and freshen up, if we take much longer I'm bound to get an ear full from my parents.”

”I'll be quick then.”

Meanwhile at Twin Peaks Sect...

Fang Tian just arrived back at the sect headquarters and couldn't hold back her anger any longer. ”I don't care if she's a cultivation genius, she is getting in my way!”

”What's wrong?” Her father looked at his precious daughter, who was always calm and collected, throwing a fit and couldn't help but feel worried.

”Falling Star took Yu Chang as her disciple. He's mine! No one else is allowed to have him, but now all he has time for is her.” She paced around her father's spacious office as she ranted. ”She is even taking him to meet her parents like they are some kind of official couple or something.”

Peak Master Fang sighed. ”If you want him that badly, invite him to join the sect.”

Fang Tian smiled and leaped into her father's arms. ”Father you're the best!”
