Just as Shen Yunya left the building, a servant ran hurriedly towards her and anxiously reported to her, “Miss, the Crown Prince is here,” he said.

“Brother Jin?” Shen Yunya’s eyes widened with disbelief. She then looked at the servant. “Is it really Brother Jin?”

Had Brother Jin really came looking for her?

Had Brother Jin taken the initiative to visit her?

“Yes.”

Shen Yunya staggered forward absent-mindedly. She then put on a wry smile. “How can Brother Jin possibly be looking for me?”

“Ya’er. Do you not want me to visit you?” Xi Jin appeared right outside the courtyard with a radiant smile on his face. He then strode towards Shen Yunya. However, his clenched fists didn’t reflect the happy smile on his face.

Shen Yunya had requested to meet him many times. However, ever since he had learned the truth from the state preceptor, he stopped seeing her. This was because he was afraid that he couldn’t control himself and would end up killing her. He needed to control himself now. How could he let Shen Yunya die so soon?

He wanted to torture Shen Yunya for a nice, long time. He wanted to pay Dai’er’s suffering back by a thousand-fold.

Shen Yunya raised her head and watched him walking slowly towards her. When she saw the gentle smile on Xi Jin’s face, she felt as if all her annoyance, her tears, and everything she had done had finally paid off.

“Brother Jin.” After not seeing him for a long time, Shen Yunya ran to him and threw herself into his arms. She then wrapped her arms tightly around his waist and cried aggrievedly.

This really was Brother Jin. The servant wasn’t spouting nonsense. She wasn’t dreaming. All of this was real.

Xi Jin’s body turned stiff. His gentle eyes were instantly filled with murderous intent. His initially clenched fists became tighter. She could be so frail in front of him, but why must she cruelly harm Dai’er?

“I thought I would never see Brother Jin again.” Shen Yunya hugged his waist tightly as she cried aggrievedly. It had been so long since she had hugged him. She felt contented just by holding him. She felt as though everything she did had finally paid off.
