Chapter 803 - Jiang Ying Visits Feng Tianlan (1/2)
Si Mobai nodded in an indulging manner. “Alright. However, the number of ladies that I had attracted were not as many as Lan’er.”
“That is because the ladies you attracted all became killers. They treated me like a demon and wanted to kill me the moment they saw me,” Feng Tianlan replied.
Si Mobai shut his mouth out of guilt and stopped discussing who had attracted more ladies. Lan’er was always right, anyway. Even when she was wrong, she would still be right.
Over the next few days, Feng Tianlan was busy building up her mercenary regiment. When it was time to eat, Si Mobai would climb through the window to deliver food to her. Xiao Xiao and the others were aware of this and stopped asking her to join them for meals.
Some workers who didn’t know about this thought that Xiao Xiao and the others were horrible for boycotting the lad. They must have been jealous of his good looks. That’s why they didn’t invite him to eat with them and isolated him instead.
Soon after, Xiao Xiao overhead their secret discussion. She then conveyed what she heard vividly and dramatically. They all had a great laugh after hearing that.
When Feng Tianlan the group joking around and arguing amongst each other, the peaceful and dreamy feeling intensified.
After establishing some regiment rules and making arrangements in the United Mercenary Regiment, the United Mercenary Regiment of Lin’an City was officially formed. However, as the regiment was too small, not many people came to post their bounties. No one showed up to apply to be their members, either. The regiment was very quiet.
Mei’er and the others weren’t in a hurry to get more members. They were looking for quality over quantity. Besides, they wanted to save some spots for those who were at the end of their ropes. All of them joined the United Regiment in the first place because they were struggling with something.
Jiang Ying raised his head and looked at the words ‘United Mercenary Regiment’ on the signboard. He stared at the quiet regiment, then clenched his fists and walked in.
When Mei’er, who was utterly bored, saw someone walk in, her eyes brightened up immediately. She went forward to welcome him, saying, “Master, are you here to post a bounty, or are you here to join the mercenary regiment?”
“I am here to look for someone…” he said.
Before he could finish his sentence, Mei’er interrupted him. “That’s a bounty, then. Since you are the first one here, if the mission is not too dangerous, we won’t ask for any rewards.”
